Dunes Village

We went with this resort due to the family friendly nature and access to the beach. The rest of the resort was great. The condo itself needed some help. It didn't seem cleanliness was high priority. During our stay, maintenance came in with a pest control company to spray for bugs.. after doing so, a few cockroaches surfaced. While I appreciate the fact that they were being proactive about pest control, seeing 4 roaches in the daylight really grossed me out. The infestation must be bad. When I reached out to Big Fish Rentals, their response was "Thank you for the update. I will let the team know. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience." We won't stay there again. If you don't mind bugs, it's a great place for the price. The view was beautiful, and there was a lot to do on property. Staff were helpful and friendly.

We will be back!

This was a wonderful stay! The instructions from the emails were very clear and easy to follow. They were available if needed but didn’t hover and the Dunes Village staff is very friendly. Breakfast buffet and dinner at this location and in close proximity to all things Myrtle Beach! Also what a view from the room. If I had one thing to note is the some of the ceiling is going to need to be redone soon. The popcorn was starting to peel but I am sure that is from weather and wind. You honestly can’t get much better than this one, it was great! We look forward to coming back

Great view

Great view. Furniture/appliances needs updating. There were no utensils,or plates. Beds were comfortable but the sofa should have been a sleeper sofa.

February Trip to Myrtle

We loved Dunes Village. The water parks, heated pools, onsite restaurants, and Starbucks were all amazing! However, the condo itself was just ok. Very strict rules or you face being charged extra fees. No staining the WHITE towels with makeup, don’t leave the tv input on anything other than what they tell you or it’s an additional fee. The kitchen had NO dish cloth and one dish towel yet you were to wash any dish used and put it back away. It was a little stressful making sure each thing was done before leaving so we didn’t get charged.

Good weekend getaway

This resort was a great spot for families with young kids. Lots to do, food at the hotel restaurant was surprisingly good and not terribly overpriced. The host was very easy to contact and quick to respond to any issues. The bathroom was small with minimal places to keep toiletries but there’s an exterior sink/dressing area to help with that. Overall, everything is slightly dated but still clean and comfortable. I wish I had known parking was off site and quite a walk from our location - that was really challenging with small kids.

Fun time at the beach

The resort was awesome. The kids loves the waterpark. The on site restaurants was very convenient. But one of the reasons I like to book a personally owned property is because it usually feels like home and not just another hotel room. I didnt get that feeling with this room. The beds where very uncomfortable and the over all room could use some TLC.

Spring break getaway

Great location with a beautiful oceanfront view. Comfortable condo even though it was "cozy" for me, my husband and two young teenagers. Pools were fun and we especially enjoyed the Jacuzzis. Resort is mainly for families with younger kids than ours, but it was still fun!

Fantastic family fun!

This was the perfect combination of amenities for our family! Indoor and outdoor fun for all! We had 1 grandma, 1 mom, 1 girl and 1 boy teenagers and a 5 year old and we were all thrilled with this property! We will be booking again!

Comfortably Family Friendly

We enjoyed this cozy condo specifically for the amenities of the building. Although disappointed to learn both splash pads were closed during our visit we made the most out of the pools. We also enjoyed the free children’s activities (that we had not known about in advance). Location was ideal for everything we wanted to visit, not to mention waking up to the sound of the ocean waves and watching the sun rise over the ocean.

Great Location! Perfect for Families!

We had a great time! The resort is located right before a string of private homes so the beach was not crowded. Quick walk to the waterpark or to the beach – and most days we did both! Perfect little toddler pool for our little one and lots of chairs around all the pools. Warning - outdoor bathroom by the resort is gross (stinky and dirty every time), but super convenient. Room was like a long hotel room with a kitchenette added. Quiet corner unit 2nd floor from the top with great views. We will be back!

Don’t have to leave the resort for fun!

Took our 5 year old granddaughter for a long weekend trip and we had a great time. So much to do on site we never left the resort. Breakfast buffet was good but not a buffet person so we just had Starbucks for breakfast. Nice lunch and dinner at the hotel, good food and reasonable prices. So many pools/water activities, kids activities, pool bar, and access to both resorts.
