This was, perhaps, the dirtiest hotel I have been in. I stay in hotels 3 or 4 nights per week and this one wins the prize for dirtiest this year. Bathroom floor was disgusting. I noticed hair on the floor so I wiped the floor with a wet washcloth and it came up extremely dirty (see PIC). I then noticed hair in the bathtub around the edges. The bathtub and bathroom floor had not been touched, possibly for a long time. The bathroom floor did not get that way overnight. The bathroom is the most important place to clean, in my opinion. If they are not cleaning the bathroom, are they changing the sheets. Makes me wonder. Also there was tea in the room, but just in a Ziploc snack bag. Who else had touched those? I did report this to the front desk and they said "sorry". If I had noticed the dirt in the evening, I would have switched rooms. As it was, I noticed the dirt in the morning.

We spent the day at Dolly Wood on Saturday and had reservations for Saturday night. We ended up having vehicle problems but did manage to make it to hotel late. We were greeted by a nice young man working the desk named Zack. He was by far the nicest employee we encountered. We checked in and asked for a later check out time due to car problems and didn't know when we would get it resolved. He was even kind enough to get some ketchup for the kids fries that the drive thru stiffed us. The beds were comfortable the hall ways loud. This is when we heard out 1st dog but not the last. The walls seemed paper thin cause dogs were the only things we heard. Woke up to barking dogs. We went for breakfast and the pancake machine wasn't working. The rest was pretty good. But again dogs, dogs everywhere. We explained to hotel that we were waiting to get the broke vehicle problem fixed and could we stay a little bit longer. Lady staff was rude and said no but we could stay in lobby. She definitely lacked compassion. So we stayed 1 more hour in lobby while she ignored us and vaccumed. At least we were entertained by the dog's coming in and out. I'm not sure if they were renovating or what but 1st floor to left had mattresses in hall way. Our stay by far was not the best. Wall were thin, morning staff was horrible in customer service. I know good help is hard to come by but they should rethink who they put at the desk. Thanks Zack for your hospitality and helping stop a meltdown over no ketchup.

This is an old hotel that was converted and not up to normal standards. The room was okay but the beds were not the nice pillow top mattresses most Holiday Inns now have. The breakfast buffet was well done and that room was also nice. The lobby was small and when we checked in it was filled with the desk clerk's family members. The clerk was nice but holding a grandchild. I understand emergencies happen but it appeared to be more the norm. There was a lingering smell to the place that put us off. I would pass on this one and stay at one of the many alternative hotels in the area.

We stay here every year on our way to Folly Beach, SC. We have seen it at its worst and seen it when it was under renovations. The room we have is super clean, upgraded, and quiet, so far. We just got here and they gave us an upgrade, thank you very much for that. I like the look of the breakfast area so far but we all know that the truth will all come out when I have to deal with employees in the morning. The desk staff has consistently been quality. We will stay here on the way back too. Stay tuned. But, if I were you, it would be worth the stay.

I stayed there two years ago and back then it was awful. They have since done major renovations which are not quite finished, and I think perhaps it is under new management as well. At least the desk clerk was friendly and efficient this time, but they are not quite hitting the mark, not quite yet up to the typical standard of an HIE. Their single slow elevator (especially when being used by construction workers) was maddening. It isn't to be avoided or anything like that. I'd stay there again, but it doesn't measure up to other HIEs, at least not at this time. Maybe soon it will. I do like the location--- after dealing with the Knoxville traffic this HIE can be a welcome and convenient location to call it a day-- at least it was for my schedule.

We are rewards members and stopped for the night as we were traveling back from Florida around 9:30pm on the night of 8/12/17. The clerk had a lobby full of people who were apparently her relatives, including her children or grandchildren, one of which was a baby that was only a few months old & was crawling around in front of and behind the front desk in a diaper. The clerk was not very friendly and seemed to have an attitude as soon as we walked in the door. When we got to our room there were small ants crawling all over the nightstand. I killed 5 of them and didn't see any others. We didn't want to switch rooms because someone had called the front desk while we were checking in to complain about the A/C not working in their room. We were tired and just wanted to get some rest. There were keys in the elevator door and when we asked about it because we were concerned that someone would take them out while people were in the elevator, we were told that the elevator would not run without the keys inserted. The room was spacious but there were hairs in the sink, bathtub, and comforter. The floors didn't appear to have been swept and there was even a penny on the floor near the baseboard. Who knows how long it had been there.

We stopped at the Holiday Inn Express in Dandridge Tenn on our way to HHI. We ususally stop in this area it is about half way of our trip. It is always clean, friendly and comfy beds. The breakfast is delicious. They have done some remodeling and freshening up, truly a beauty. Highly recommend this stop. Close to French Broad River and Gatlinburg. Enjoy your trip,

Great hotel. All the employees were very helpful and polite (especially the ladies working the breakfast area in the morning). Room was very clean and roomy. Parking lot was very well lit. Would recommend to anyone! Thanks for the great room & service!

I emailed the hotel requesting best way to travel without a car from the Airport. Two days later referring to a broken computer for the delay I had a reply without recommendation. When I arrived 1 pm, Sunday, June 25th, the receptionist was polite and helpful. I had to return at 3 pm (check in time) as my room was not ready (no problem). When I arrived at 3 pm, the shift was changing, and there was the polite receptionist (say, shift-1) still on duty and pleasant, and a new receptionist (say, shift-2) who was insulting. There were issues with the credit card authorization system unrelated to me. Shift-2 acts like my fault; shift-1 says they have been having problems with the system and no it is not my cards. I could go on. Otherwise, a nicely equipped gym. Breakfast was okay and free. A Shoney's restaurant is a hundred feet away for other meals if needed. The Wi-Fi service was excellent! The physical product is fine. Apparently, the renovation work referred in prior reviews is over. However, the one Elevator was broken throughout my four-night stay.

Well the service is horrible at the check in desk we paid a month earlier just to make sure we had a room and it took us 20 minutes to get our key card the breakfast is great and the coffee is good to.☕️🍩
