Kimpton Surfcomber Hotel

4.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

The Surfcomber has really gone downhill lately and I’m disappointed with my recent stay. I think much of it has to do with poorly trained staff who don’t seem to fully understand how the property operates.

Great hotel on the beachfront. Walk-able to many South Beach attractions. Pool could be crowded at times.

Great character and very convenient to South Beach , Lincoln Rd, and Ocean Ave.

Great staff, valet parking overpriced, rooms could be cleaner, pool area and beach space are Awesome, I would definitely go back

Pool, beach and amenities are very nice. Room was a bit smaller than I’d expected. Be careful because they try to charge you for every little detail. They wouldn’t even bring us a cup of water with ice. Front desk people were extremely rude, along with the staff who was in charge of chairs on the beach.

Asked for a quiet room. Were put directly next to an elevator that made loud 'ding' all night. Room faced sun up in morning - thin shades made it feel like mid-day in the 6am hour. Had view of a large HVAC unit. Took over 30 minutes to get car from the valet. Probably the worst hotel for the money I've ever stayed in - and I've traveled quite a bit. Do not stay here.

There is a lack of staff in the hotel to assist customers. I also tried to get in touch with the hotel as my flight was delayed after calling and being hung up on 3x I finally gave up.

The hotel was clean, in a prime location and the staff was amazing. This was my first stay with them and I will definitely make a return trip.

Great location, small rooms. Overall a good experience.

Room was small. Not what I expected. Room environment was kind of shabby. Bathroom was nothing to talk about.

Tide bar and social restaurant was ok no real incentive just free coffee and wine tasting for 1 hr no happy hr but property is nice and staff that I spoke to were nice Gabriella, Jesus, Dylan, just to name a few

I liked the location, but you really pay for every plus with the resort fee. Not sure it really balanced out.

Hotel is close to everything from tours beach food and night clubs

Overall nice experience besides the over aggressive outside pool waitress who harrassed me about having a water bottle that I didn’t get from the pool. Extremely unprofessional.

My expeirene was ok at this hotel. Great location but nothing fancy about the room itself. If you're looking for a more modern room this is not for you; but if your looking for nice location, ok room, pool, and easy acess to beach go for it.

Thank you for your review of our property. I'm sorry to hear that the service you had at the property was anything less than spectacular. We will use this review as a training opportunity and learn to do better. Have a great day!!
