Welcome to your own slice of paradise! Just steps away from the lanai you’ll be able to enjoy the pool, the hot tub, grill with your ohana at our shared grills and for the more active, there are tennis courts within walking distance as well. Featuring sun-soaked interiors and plenty of updated amenities, be sure to utilize the private washer/dryer for swimsuits and gear after a full day of surf and sand. Just down the street is one of the island's nicest beaches, Kepuhi Beach, and a little further down is Make Horse, another one of Molokai’s hidden gems. Prepare to relax in this space and let your worries drift away with the tide and wrap up your day with your favorite drink as you watch the sunset.
Kepuhi Beach Resort is an oceanfront property on the west end of the island of Molokai, with grounds that include an oceanfront swimming pool, gas grills with picnic tables, and a sundry shop with trinkets and food to purchase. Right out front, on both sides of the old hotel, is Kepuhi Beach, which is great for surfing in the winter months, ideal for swimming and snorkeling come summer, and the site of many paddle races to Oahu. You'll also be a short stroll across the old golf course from Papohaku Beach, one of the longest beaches in the state of Hawaii with waters that are rough in the winter but calmer for ocean swimming in summer. Kepuhi Beach Resort is less than a mile from Make Horse and its many tidepools, seven miles northwest of the town of Maunaloa (the only town on the west end), and 20 miles west of Kaunakakai, where most grocery stores, art/gift shops, mini markets, restaurants, and equipment rentals are located.
This arid west side of Molokai, just 12 miles from the airport, is known for having less rain than the east side of the island. And the island-wide evening quiet hours make Molokai perfect for romance, families, solitude, and experiencing a glimpse of the real Hawaii away from the tourist crowds. Molokai is about entertaining yourselves, although Hotel Molokai on a Friday night is entertaining itself!

Somethings to consider
Beautiful upgraded living areas. The couch and chairs were very comfortable. Upgraded shower small bathroom was great. Other than the bugs, the unit was very clean. It was a well supplied kitchen and all the appliances worked great.The unit had lots of fans and good circulation to keep the condo comfortable in temperature.The condo had lots of beach stuff for your use. The pool and pickleball courts access is optimal. Also, we loved the Pea fouls on property. Cons: This is our 5th stay at this end of Molokai. This is the first unit where the bugs were out of control. Multiple large cockroaches, endless amount of moths, large grasshoppers, large red ants all inside the condo on the walls and floors, and more micro black ants than can be counted. We are very particular about putting all food in fridge and cleaning counters and removing the trash from the condo and we still had ants everywhere.
6:30 am wake up call Monday through Friday, despite having a noise maker running, from the heavy footsteps of the upstairs neighbors. Definitely a downside of being on the lower floor. Our stay was 12 days so we experienced this during both weeks. If you are an early riser, this would not be a problem, but for us it was an issue.
In addition, every morning if you don’t turn the bathroom fan on in the master, the condo will be completely filled with the smell of marijuana coming from another unit through the ventilation systems. Definitely not ideal. For us, it just wasn’t great.

This unit is located not even a minutes walk from the pool and tennis court. Great kitchen with microwave, French style double door fridge provides large open area for food storage. Spacious 2 bedroom unit. This unit is on the ground floor so it doesn't get the strong trades to cool it down like the upper units but ceiling fans and tower floor fans make it comfortable enough.

We found the unit fairly clean at first glance but when we went to use the bathroom there was hair in the drain and the bathtub was dirty. The one toilet was dirty but there was a bowl bush in one of the bathroom and we found cleaning supplies so we’re able to clean it up

“The closed island”
The washing machine’s lock system only works if you push in the lid or it won’t rinse or spin.
There should be a couple more kitchen towels as there is a lot of cooking
The attendant of the check-in was not there on Sunday so we could not get the pool code. She was very unfriendly we almost missed her on Monday as she closed the office early
We would recommend a binder with instructions for check in and out. It would also be nice to have an updated list of things to do, how to access them as many are now not in operation
