What I liked about the property was its location to the town center and how well the location was managed.

We enjoyed our room, great deal for the price oaid

Staff was great, super friendly! The amenities were great too, will definitely come back.

RAT-INFESTED! My wife and I have stayed at this property twice before. We decided to stay again because the first two times were okay and we like staying in familiar hotels. This time, our room was on the 2nd floor all the way down at the end of the hall. We left and had dinner, then when we came back to our room we heard a noise coming from the wall between us and the outside of the hotel. I called the staff and told them I thought it was a rat. The lady at the front desk assured me that they didn’t have rats. My wife and I were very tired from the long six hour drive from San Diego, so we were heading to bed soon. We heard that rat squeaking, scratching, biting, chewing, jumping and running around all night until about 6:00 or 7:00 AM. We had very little sleep and weren’t going to stay another night, so we checked out around 9:00 AM. The hotel decided to refund the resort fee of about $22 but wouldn’t refund what I payed to stay the night. They refused to believe it was a rat and kept telling me it was a woodpecker or a squirrel. Those animals are not nocturnal, but rats are! Don’t insult my intelligence either by telling me it wasn’t a rat. I’ll never stay at this rat-infested hotel again.

The staff makes this place... no doubt. I don’t want anyone else to go, because then they’ll raise the rates and I’ll have to go somewhere else

Nice hotel. Nice staff. Was clean. At the edge of town but still close to good restaurants. Easy shuttle to the resort, but the bus station isn’t all that close.

Very nice staff! We saw our very first bear in the wild (or parking lot of the hotel). It was awesome!

The hotel seems like it's great for a group. The staff wasn't very friendly or attentive.

We got to check in earlier than 4pm because the room was already clean so that was very nice! We got a suite with a king and sleeper couch for 4 adults. Adult kids said the sleeper mattress was horrible. They pulled it out and put it on the floor but it was still pretty bad. Our king was comfy! The kitchen was a nice size. There was no air conditioner... Just a fan whose oscillating feature was broken. We kept it on all night with the windows open but it was still too warm to get a good night's sleep. Staff let us stay an extra hour after check out time. Very nice of them! And the backpackers in our group were welcome to leave their packs in the office for the day and they could relax in the lobby as long as they wanted to after check out. Continental Breakfast was good but the oatmeal option quickly ran out. We stayed in the summer. No AC was a bummer but there was a heater for winter visitor's comfort.

Great staff and a big shout out to Driver Tom! Great staff and a big shout out to Driver Tom! Great staff and a big shout out to Driver Tom!

Room smelled like a wet towel. The front door to the room and the walls are paper thin. So much noise in the morning and at night just from people walking around and talking. Don't stay on the bottom floor or you will hear everything that goes on above you. Staff was very nice and the hotel amenities are convenient. If you don't mind noise and aren't a clean freak, I'd recommend this place.

Great breakfast and a well kept and quiet place to stay. Decent gym area and the spa area is also nice! Great location in a quaint town 30 min from Yosemite Tioga pass entrance.

Pleasant stay. Bed was comfortable, mattress not too firm. Lots of pillows provided. It was great to slip into jacuzzi after a long day of skiing/snowboarding.

The bad: Thin walls and ceilings, which made our first night's sleep pretty bad. The good: - I told the lady at the front desk that we were hearing a lot of noise coming from above us, so she immediately gave us another room on the top (2nd) floor. The next night we slept very well. - All of the staff were very helpful. We arrived around 1:30 AM and the guy on duty at the time had no problem waking up, checking us in, and even helping with our luggage. - Location is less than a five minute walk to ski rental, multiple restaurants and bars, and Vons. -Short drive to the Main Lodge, only about 10 minutes. - Nice jacuzzi downstairs as well as a couple of cool hangout spots inside the hotel. - Free breakfast.

We enjoyed our stay. Staff is friendly, room is comfortable, robes are great, conveniently located.

Greetings from Mammoth Lakes, CA. At Mammoth Creek Inn we take the health, safety and comfort of our staff and guests seriously. With upmost certainty we are confident to rebuke your false claim that our establishment is "rat infested!" As you are aware the town of Mammoth Lakes is a community located in the vast wilderness of the Sierra Nevada surrounded by sweeping vistas, statuesque peaks, Jeffrey pine forest, hundreds of glacier lakes that we share with wild animals and critters. Some wild animals are here year long such as coyotes and ravens while others are seasonal animals such as the California black bear (hibernate during the winter), mule deer, seagulls and flicker woodpeckers. Other residents in the area are rabbits, deer mice, spiders, crickets and rats just to name a few. Soon after you and your wife vacated the room we inspected the attic for any signs of rats. We also consulted our local health department. As suspected the culprit of the noise in the wall is our "favorite" seasonal feathered friends the flicker woodpeckers. We know this for a fact because they have been making themselves at "home" after being away this winter. We also see them. Every spring they visit us and every spring through the end of summer we shoo them away from their favorite nesting area located on the south east wall of our building. We patch/repair the hole they peck hoping to discourage them from visiting us again. They still do. They are our repeat guests that can be a nuisance. We mean to not insult anyone's intelligence and can only assure our current and future guests that we are not rat infested. Thank you. Leina'ala. P.S. advice to our future guests. The bears are coming out of hibernation and already going through trash and seeking food after awakening from their long winter slumber. Please remember to take all food out from your vehicle

Good afternoon, Thank you for staying with us and taking the time to submit a review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Shuttle stop #7 (red line route) is about 2 minutes walk from the Inn so I'm hoping you didn't pass it and walk to the stop by Vons (the stop after our stop). Take care and hope you'll visit us again.
