Peaceful and relaxing. Food is horrible. We paid for the all inclusive, so we had to eat there. Next time I will just buy my own drinks at Walmart and eat in town

They make your vacation personal. I had group of 6 elders visit there for 4 nights and absolutely loved everything about the resort. Staff is awesome with great customer service.

The stay at this Resort was the best. The attention from Margarita in the Restaurant was Amazing. You have to try their Moyetes :)

I have stayed at this property three times. 21 years ago and then 17 years ago and now this past week. Hands down the best place. Not the biggest and not the most extravagant but the best place! Excellent on all levels ! I will most certainly go again !

This is a smaller property with one average size pool and one small pool. There is only one restaurant. The property is clean, staff is friendly and attentive. The All Inclusive is "OPTIONAL," so read the fine print, cause it's extra when you're standing at the check-in counter. I choose not to and saved hundreds.

No access to beach for swimming. Small pool. Overall unsatisfied

The food was great but the rooms were very old... yellow water coming out in the bathrooms. Towels weren’t super clean. The maid walked into the room when we didn’t hear the door as we were sleeping.

Three new UV fishing scarves were taken (stolen) from my suitcase presumably by the room service maid. The hotel security staff filed a report, but I never heard back from them after the incident. Hotel staff members are friendly and helpful, and the property is nice otherwise.

When I checked in, the front desk person argued with me and insisted that I did not pay for all-inclusive, when I know I had via Orbitz. She finally called and figured out that I had, and apologized. We got to our room, and the rooms are very outdated. VERY. Like they haven't been updated since the 80s. The next day, they called me to let me know they overcharged me and that I would need to come back down. Turns out our showers (neither one) worked properly. They were missing the labels of which was hot and which was cold. When in the shower, I got burned by the water bc it continuously changed from warm to scalding hot. We got moved to a new room, and it was the same deal. Checkout was 11am, we sat down for breakfast at 11:15am. They made us pay for our breakfast! I've never had that happen at an all-inclusive resort in Mexico. They typically let you have breakfast and use the facilities til you leave for the airport. Very tacky. There's NO espresso at all included in the all-inclusive and all of the alcohol is extremely watered down. There are virtually no options for vegans or gluten-free diets. I was charged $12 for getting makeup on a white hand towel upon check out, which was ridiculous, considering it could be bleached out. Overall this is a pretty lame resort. I would never stay here again.

My daughter and I went to Solmar as a mother/daughter vacation to celebrate her 18th birthday at the end of March. The resort was so nice an clean. We liked it better than the Grand Playa where we went to use the gym and pool. There was so many people there and garbage and plates of food, we enjoyed Solmar better. At Solmar there was always clean chairs and property and the staff and guests were so enjoyable! we made a lot of friends!
