We rented a 2/2 for the weekend, and found the following: - They use Dish for satellite service which is having issues with the broadcast networks...i.e. no local channels. Most of the channels came in fuzzy/grainy on a beautiful, cloudless day. - The hotel was full of people wondering (loitering) the property. While this is not a bad thing (they have basketball courts and a pool), it led into people running up and down the halls well into the nights. The walls are very thin and everything can be heard. - The hotel feels like a Motel6...just cheap. - Hardly anywhere to park. There are just not enough spaces for the guests. The beds were very comfortable, but the A/C never seemed to cool. Don't get me wrong, it was cool; however, it just never seemed to drop below 76.

We spent 5 days in Orlando for a family vacation, and appreciate the large rooms and free breakfast at the Residence Inn. This particular one was acceptable, but could use some updates in its appearance. The breakfast was very good, and the dining space was kept clean and clear. The pool area is also nice, with lots of outdoor space. Parking seemed in short supply, as many cars parked on the grass and street. One caution: AVOID ordering from the pizza promos slipped under the doors-it's really bad! Order from one of the well known pizza shops.

It wasn’t terrible, but it was the worst Residence Inn we’ve ever stayed at. Overall the stay was acceptable, but certainly not up to typical Marriott standards, and certainly not the standards we’ve come to expect for Residence Inn by Marriott. My wife and I have traveled both for business and leisure and have stayed at numerous Residence Inn locations and this was by far the worst stay. The high speed internet seems like a well planned scam. The room itself was exactly what we were looking for. We were a party of 4, my wife and I and 2 twenty-something year old daughters. We had a 2-bedroom suite that gave the girls their own bedroom and bathroom. This was very comfortable, and with a sofa bed the room could comfortably sleep another 2 people, and more if you had to. There is also a full kitchen that we did not use on this trip. That is the good part. The rest are a bunch of annoyances that any one could easily be overlooked. Together though they add up to less than an ideal stay. As I mentioned, there is a full kitchen. There is also a nice display of coffee for the coffee maker – that wasn’t in the room. I’m guessing they don’t need to replenish the coffee supplies very frequently. Noticeably absent were the complimentary bottles of water that Marriott elite guests are supposed to receive. The room itself while not bad by any means was not as well maintained or as clean as one would expect from a Marriott property. There were crumbs left on the floor. The knob insert in the sliding closest door was missing leaving a hole. The toilets were stained. The showers both dripped unless you forcefully turned off the water. There were other similar minor issues throughout the room. None were really awful, but again show a general lack of attention to detail. It does get worse though. We arrived at around 9:30 PM on a Friday night. The parking lot was mostly full but we found a spot to park. We unpacked, freshened up and went out to dinner in Disney Springs. We got back to the hotel a little after midnight to find there was no parking available. None. Even places you aren’t supposed to park were full with cars on a large paver covered raised island area. Even the curb on the street leading in the hotel had cars parked. Eventually we parked along the curb, on a curve on that street. This was definitely not the best place to park, but was the ONLY place to park. This hotel was clearly built with woefully insufficient parking. We did go into the office to complain, and basically the response was, yeah we know. People park more than one car per room. That isn’t entirely surprising given how large some of the rooms are, and should clearly have been expected given the expected total occupancy of the hotel. The next morning we went to included complimentary breakfast buffet a little before 9 AM. There were no plates, and no utensils available. They provide nice ceramic plates and metal silverware, but they clearly had insufficient quantities. Eventually they came out with clean plates and utensils, but literally 3 or 4 plates and forks at a time. The breakfast buffet itself was OK. They had scrambled eggs, Tortillas to make egg wraps, salsa, cheese, sour cream and spinach. The also had pancakes, pork sausage, and oatmeal. The oatmeal was completely empty the first day though. They also have an area where you can make fresh waffles, toast, bagels, and muffins. While a nice display, it was small for the size of the dining room and a crowded mess. Saturday morning was obviously not a fluke. We went to breakfast about 9:15 Sunday and it was the same as Saturday, only worse. Even the coffee was out for a while before finally being replenished. Dishes were still in short supply, with the few clean plates when made available not even meeting the needs of those waiting for plates. People were eating on napkins, having their eggs in cereal bowls, yeah a mess. This is really inexcusable as it is so easily corrected. Either they could increase their stock of dishes and utensils, or provide alternative disposable plates and utensils. When we returned to the hotel Saturday night we went into the office again. First, we enquired as to why there were no complimentary water bottles. The answer was that it was a franchise property and that they don’t follow all of Marriott’s policies. That said a lot. The desk agent was kind enough though to give us four bottles of water at no charge. Clearly they have had this question before and were prepared for it. The franchise part is likely even more significant – we were unaware of this when we booked the reservation directly on the Marriott web site. When I was at the desk I also asked about the Wi-Fi internet access that showed that we had previously selected the high speed option even though we definitely didn’t and thus the only option to connect was with the high speed option. The response was that this was an error that occurred frequently. He then indicated he would remove the charge. It is incredibly odd though that this “error” only seemed to occur at this Marriott franchise property, and had never happened at any other Marriott, Residence Inn or otherwise. More on this scam below. On Sunday after breakfast I ended up clogging the toilet in the bathroom. Eventually it did flush. I didn’t think that much of it until I found out that my daughter also clogged the toilet in the second bathroom. Her's never did flush. It would appear that the toilets are less than perfect as well. There was an invoice provided under the door Sunday morning. After checking it carefully to see that there were no internet or other charges added I used the Marriott app to check out of the room. Only the charges for the 2 nights that had already been pre-paid to get the better room rate had been charged with a remaining balance of zero shown. I still have that invoice. Tuesday morning I received the electronic copy of the invoice from Marriott. Surprise! This invoice showed 2 charges of $5.95 for data service, and 1 credit of $5.95. I was charged for the “error” twice even though I did bring this to the attention of the front desk. I called the hotel Tuesday and questioned this charge. I was given an excuse the person who checked us out didn’t properly handle this or something to that effect. He then provided a credit for the $5.95 and indicated it could take several days for the credit to show up. We will if and when it does. These charges don’t seem like simple errors. It seems more like a plan to charge additional fees, but at a small enough amount that many will likely not question it. If it were a single issue I might believe it was an error. However the chain of events makes this look far more orchestrated. Even after notifying the desk the charges still showed up. Very disturbingly the invoice provided on paper did not match the electronic eFolio that was provided from Marriott. Even an excuse that the paper copy was printed prior to the final charges were applied wouldn’t be valid as it did not show the previous charge and subsequent credit the day before. The fact that this property is a franchise and not Marriott directly shows. It seems that they cut corners wherever they can and commit was is essentially fraud for internet charges. It seems they know what they are doing, but respond in ways to try and cover it up. While the room itself was near ideal to what we needed, given the very large selection of hotels in the Orlando/Kissimmee area I doubt we will ever be back. I’ve also lost quite a bit of respect for the Marriott brand. I’ve come to associate Marriott in general with quality. For Marriott to allow their brand to be associated with a sub-standard product reflects poorly on Marriott as well. I'm only giving 2 stars in the rating due to the internet charge scam. Otherwise it would get 3 stars. Note that the hotel is pet friendly. We did NOT have a pet, and that isn't an attraction to us, but the hotel did allow it. The room did not smell like dogs either - so I'm not considering this in my rating. The beds were on the very firm side, some might consider them hard.

Good help is hard to get. This location exemplifies this statement. The location would not let me check in online. I went out of my way and stopped at the front desk as I was passing thru. I was told there were no rooms ready at 10:35 am. I said ok and told the clerk that I could not check in online. She looked up my reservation and asked for my cell and told me she would call me when my room was ready. I left for my meeting and low and behold I was called 10 minutes later and was told my room was ready. I was fine with that and I continued on. When I got back to the hotel at 10:00 pm I stopped at the desk to pick up my keycard. Now the fun begins. I was told I did not check in. I gave my name again and now I was told my credit card was not approved. I told the CSR that my card was on file. She said I know it did not go thru and she needed a card. I gave her my credit card that was on file and low and behold it was accepted. There were two CSR's trying to help me and I definitely know more about their job that they do. I finally got my keycard and was walking out the door to get to my room one of them called me back and said as a Marriott rewards member I was entitled to a welcome bag. I told her to keep it and enjoy it. I got to my room and it was a little worn but it appeared to be clean. Or so I thought. The dried feces inside the toilet bowl told me a different story. Needless to say I have taken this location off my places to stay list in Orlando

A regular Marriott visitor - this was our first stay in a Residence Inn in many years - and it was fantastic. The accommodations were spacious - the staff was well trained and very friendly. Great location for visiting the attractions.

We stay at Marriott nearly everytime we travel and I can say this one was on the lower part of my list. The rooms were average, just as expected. We had a nice view of the pool and beds were comfortable. Front desk was blah. Each morning at the breakfast bar they ran out of silverware, the first morning I seen numerous people standing around waiting for forks! I asked attendant if they had utensils and she told me they were washing. Then they ran out plates and were down to like two bowls. The next morning I brought my silverware from my room. If this is a problem why not have some plasticware out as back up (like most other Marriotts do) as well as some kind of disposable plates? We would probably not return to this hotel.

The location is very convenient - it is closet to the shopping centers, outlet malls, and Disney property. Room looks like every other Residence Inn - no surprises, good or bad, there. The only big difference between this Residence Inn and all other Residence Inn I have stayed is the housekeeping. Unless you specifically request, only minimum housekeeping is provided. If you leave dishes in the sink, it will be waiting for you in the sink when you return. All other Residence Inn, the housekeepers run the dishwasher. If you ran out of the coffee pods you got when you check-in, you will have to ask for more, which I did at the front desk. Housekeeping does not include any kitchen and bathroom work. It is only bed-making and replacement of towels. It is perfectly fine with me because I do not really except housekeepers to wash the dishes for me. It would have been nice if they refill the coffee basket but I can get those at the front desk. And I believe you can always ask for full housekeeping if you need. Only thing I did not like was the shower temperature. Even you set to the hottest, it is only a bit more than lukewarm water. But from my experience, all other Residence Inn are like that. So, it was ok since I was expecting it.

Hotel is a good value, especially if you get a 2 bedroom unit with 2 couples. The hotel appears to be recently remodeled, but many of the components of the room are still original (i.e. the loud A/C unit). Nice buffet.

If you are a family and want an affordable hotel in a perfect location, this is it. This hotel is only a few minutes off the I-4, is perfectly connected to all main roads - only about 7 minutes drive to Disney Springs,, about 7 minutes drive to Universal Studios, two corners away from the Vineland Premium Outlet Mall and a few minutes from International Drive. Rooms are spacious and well equipped. There is enough parking for everyone (unlike so many other hotels in the area); the rooms though are not the most modern ones design wise speaking, but are all equipped with flat screens, wifi, etc. The hotel has a great pool, the kids love it because of the rocks and the whirlpool and the in-pool fountains. You got a modern laundry, a modern equipped work-out room, .... Worth mentioning is the super friendly staff. Especially Dan Glickman, who took care of me when I had to change rooms (personal reasons), made my stay very pleasant.

Recently updated all-suite hotel with full kitchens. Perfect for families visiting Disney World or business group attending conventions. Special kudos to front desk clerk Chris -- who sets a high standard for true service with a smile.
