Took 30 minutes to check in. Each elevator had a 10 minute wait, and it took me 10 minutes to find out which elevator to take. The building is quite confusing if this is your first time going there. I suppose there's an interesting cultural experience staying in this building for a night.

Overall we liked the hotel and its location

Overall we liked our stay at this hotel. Will definately recommend and would like to come back and stay again. This hotel is very very compact in space you can expect only this much in Chunking Mansion for this price. We were given a room initially for 1 day which was clean and good. Then we were moved to another room in 6 th floor B Block for our entire stay duration. We liked the cleanliness of the room. Wifi Speed was good. Almost all restaurants serve Halal food in the Ground and 1st floor of Chunking Mansions. Easy access to MTR and Bus Stops to reach many tourist spots and Star Ferry termianl. Walkable distance to Star Ferry Terminal. Direct bus A21 from Airport to Chunking and Close by Chunking to Airport (Bus# A21) available.

立地は良いが

街の中心部にあり、どこに行くにしてもアクセスは非常にいいと思います。 しかし、安い値段相応のサービスと設備ですのでアメニティ系は用意したほうがよさそうです。 従業員の方はとてもフレンドリーでいい方でした。

Tolle Lage, aber Chungking Mansions fragwürdig

Das Hostel liegt sehr zentral im Block C der Chungking Mansions. Die Mansions sind eine Institution in Hongkong. Sehr viele Immigranten leben hier und man wird sehr oft angesprochen, ob man Unterkünfte braucht, gefälschte Uhren, Drogen etc. Man muss immer vehement ablehnen und dann hat man auch keine Probleme. Sobald man im Aufzug ist, wird es ruhiger. Mein Zimmer war klein, aber zweckmäßig. Winziges Badezimmer. Handtücher und Badeschuhe wurden zur Verfügung gestellt. Für den Preis und die Lage ist das Hostel sehr empfehlenswert. Bei einem Städtetrip nutzt man das Zimmer ja eh nur zum Schlafen. Der Besitzer war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Wenn man die Randerscheinungen abzieht, lässt es sich gut wohnen.

Typisches Hongkong Gästehaus

Das New Shanghai Guest House ist ein typisches Gästehaus in Hongkong. Es befindet sich in den Chungking Mansions, welche schon für sich sprechen. Sehr aufdringliche Inder und Pakistanis die einem Drogen, gefälschte Uhren und anderes Zeug verkaufen wollen. Wenn einem das nicht abschreckt kann man die Unterkunft empfehlen. Relativ "großes" Zimmer mit Fenster. Sauberkeit ist wie in Hongkong üblich nicht überragend. Es lagen noch Haare im Bett und auf dem Boden. Da dies nicht mein erster Aufenthalt in Hongkong war und man immer den Preis mit einbeziehen muss, habe ich nichts anderes erwartet. Der Check in ging dafür richtig schnell und die Dusche war schön heiß. Die Lage ist unschlagbar. Direkt an der belebten Nathan Road, der Avenue of Stars und der Haltestelle Tsim Tsa Tsui. Würde das Hotel nochmal buchen.

zentrumsnahes belebtes Hotel

Sehr schöne geräumige Zimmer mit guten Matratzen und einem tollen Preisleistungsverhältnis. Das Hostel befindet sich ca. 200 m von der Bushaltestelle nach Kambodscha entfernt. Nachts teilweise etwas laut.
