M Weekend

The rental on Rocky Mount is a great rental. The house is well maintained and very well equipped for cooking. Has excellent appliances. Furniture is very comfortable. Backyard is great for dogs. Cants say enough about the location. So close to the beach and Elwood providing the parking is very considerate Communication with Elwood prior and during the visit was very helpful. All texts were friendly and useful. Would definitely recommend this property and hope we can book again.

Great property in a great location

We all had a great time, this was our first time using vrbo and it was a very easy and pleasant experience. The owners were super friendly, replied quickly to any questions we had and gave us lots of information related to the property.The property itself was fantastic, the layout is great and worked well for us. The fenced in yard was brilliant for our dog too.The location was brilliant right in the middle of everything and a short walk to the beach.It was a great experience and we will be coming back.

Fall OBX getaway

Great home with walking distance to the beach & short drives to KDH locations. Great home base for exploring the OBX. Fenced yard helped with our dogs. Tons of space. Comfortable and all the amenities you may need. Next visit to OBX, I’ll be checking with Elwood to see if there is a vacancy.

This was awful they portray outside shower and sink does not work it’s bad! Dishwasher doesn’t work! They say grab beach chairs awful then they say go grill the grill is disgustingly but they charged me $3600

Wonderful Vacation Spot

We very much enjoyed our stay! The home is beautiful, with great amenities and perfect size for our family! The location is perfect, walking distance to the beach and close to several attractions and great restaurants. Elwood was extremely helpful with information about the home and the surrounding area. Would highly recommend!

Amazing as always!!

This is our second time staying here and it felt like home!! Love the comfort this home brings. It’s so close to the beach and the neighborhood is quiet. Fenced in yard is more than perfect for the dog! Kids enjoyed playing basketball with the neighboring children. A really great trip

Very Fine place

This house was clean and well maintained. It had chairs and umbrellas for the beach. The kitchen was complete for anything you want to cook. It is bigger than the pictures show. Very close to ocean and some major stores. The yard is large and fenced.

We enjoyed our week stay at the beach house. It is a very short walk to the beach from the house. The house is in a great location with easy access to 12 and the main strip. The fenced in backyard was a bonus for our small dogs. The house had many new updates to appliances, floor and bathrooms. Owner communicated in a very timely manner with our code for check in.

Perfect Location

The location was great, a block and a half to the beach as well as the pier. The house beat expectations and the fenced yard was perfect for our two Brittanys. Elwood was very accommodating. We had a minor issue and came right over to take care of it.

Great location!

We were very happy with this home based on the location and price range. The property manager was very responsive, and the check-in and check-out process was very simple. We traveled off-season, so the yard was not very tidy, but we made good use of the fenced yard for our dog, with supervision. All the the necessities were covered, and we were pleasantly surprised by some of the amenities not available at other nearby properties.

Fabulous beach house!

We stayed for 3 weeks while moving between homes - beautifully decorated and clean with plenty of room, even a desk and chair if you have to work during your stay. All one level and a large fenced backyard was perfect for us and our pups. We could hear the ocean waves from the yard, it was a short few minutes walk to the beach. Highly recommended!!

Thanksgiving at the beach

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend in KDH! 3 adults, 1 teen and 2 dogs stayed in this well-appointed, cozy home and it was perfect! The house was very clean and had everything we needed. It's in walking distance to the beach, so we went in the morning for sunrises and during the day for strolls. The house is conveniently located near everything...restaurants, grocery stores, shopping, etc. This was a great house for us as it's all one level and no stairs...our senior dogs appreciated that; and the back yard is fenced. The beds are comfortable, there's room to gather and hang out and room to sit around the table. The owner is very responsive and helpful; answered all my questions quickly and was a pleasure to work with. We'll be back to this house for sure!

Well appointed, well maintained, well located (1.5 blocks from the beach.) Lots of good restaurants nearby but the kitchen is well equipped if you want to cook some of your own meals. Engaged and responsive property owners made everything easy. If (hopefully when) we return to this area this is where we will stay.

Great location, clean property

The location of this property is very close to the beach and a very short walk to Avalon Pier and other amenities. We enjoyed the close proximity to the beach, as well as how quiet the neighborhood was. Property was very clean. We had every small touch you could want in a rental property and Elwood was very nice to work with. Would love to come back again!

Elwood and Mary were absolutely accommodating..from linens, towels, soap, shampoo, trash bags, toilet paper, paper towels…you name it…it was there! The cleanliness of this property is beyond my expectations. It is evident they take excellent care of it. They provide a parking pass for a nearby beach access. We used it daily as we had rented a golf cart. Overall, this is a hidden jewel. We hope they will allow us to return next year!

Perfect rental for my family and dog! All of the little things that you might forget were taken care of by Elwood (linens for each bed, towels, condiments in the fridge, etc). Easy check-in process and short walk to the beach.

The Perfect Vacation Beach Home

This was our sixth home we have rented in Kill Devil Hills and by far the absolute best! It had all the comforts of home and more! The location was perfect, and it’s quiet and peaceful at night. My favorite was no stairs to climb! All communications with the owners were highly effective! If you’re looking for comfort and location, this is definitely the home for you!
