Derby and golf

We had a lovely stay at the property. The house was great for a large group. The pool and beach were amazing. The only suggestion I would have are more cooking utensils in the kitchen…other than that, would highly recommend and would gladly come back.

An amazing week

We had four adult couples staying here in April to celebrate a family birthday. The space worked very well for the 8 adults. The home is large, quiet, and comfortably furnished. We especially liked the large dining table that allowed us all to eat dinner together. The location is ideal: access to the beach via our own path, as well as via Kiawah’s public beach access points and bike paths. Views from the two back patios were beautiful for both breakfast and evening — you really have to see them to appreciate them. The many patios (front and back) were extensively used and appreciated.From a practical perspective, the elevator was great and helpful, and the washer/dryer worked perfectly. Several of the appliances were new (the dishwasher was a champion). We went with the option to heat the pool and were glad we did, as that afforded yet another way to enjoy the home.Over the course of a week, we had no complaints about any of the basics (water pressure or temperature, etc.) and the place was very clean. We did have an issue with the disposal, but the property management company (Sweetgrass) was fantastically responsive, and the problem was addressed very quickly. Everyone had very positive things to say about Sweetgrass.My wife and I have rented homes at Kiawah half a dozen times now, and we always worry that the pictures and the reality won’t line up (it happens). That was NOT the case with this home: it delivered on everything it promised.

Great house; outstanding location

Our family of 8 including three generations enjoyed this beautiful house with southern charm of big porches, front / back, enjoyed the swing. The pool was perfect for our kids which enjoyed for hours. Being this close to the beach made for convenient back / forth. Thanks again!

Thanksgiving 2023, 43 Surfsong

A beautiful property, great for large families! Many stairs, but there is an elevator, thank god! This is an older property, and shows some ware! It has many amenities, dishes, pots, pans , games, kitchen utensils etc, and plenty of seating for dining! There were some issues, nice tv’s but very technical to operate, we had to have the property manager come in to help us get the big flat screen in the great room working! Many light switches, but most were labeled, thank god, they will drive you crazy! The lights in the garage did not work, at all, at least couldn’t figure out how to make them work, a real safety issue because it is very dark in the garage when doors are closed. But overall very nice property, and wonderful family house, and easy access to the beach!

Beautiful luxurious home that offered lots of room to both comfortably relax and socialize with three generations of extended family members! Property management quickly attended to our confusion in accessing all televisions for video streaming (having confronted a nightmare of redundant remote controls). Family Beach Trip

Great weather everyday. Excellent location in proximity to the beach. Had an issue with gas grill working properly and it was fixed very quickly. Grandson is 2 and he is still talking about the fun he had. Would definitely rent again!

Family Reunion

This property is beautiful, great location, easy access to beach, nice pool. We loved all of the great porches (on all levels) with beautiful views and comfortable furniture. We had several maintenance issues early in our week but they were addressed as best as they could. Unfortunately the kitchen refrigerator ice maker and the other ice machine were both not functioning.. While the kitchen was well equipped, it lacked any pantry space and common items like cookie sheets. There was plenty of space to visit and hangout. We had a wonderful week. Thank you

Wonderful location for family and friend getaway

This was a beautiful property. We had four adults and 7 kids, ranging in age from 10-2, and found the house very comfortable. There was a pack n play that was in the house that I wish I would have known about. We ended up hauling ours from Michigan. There was plenty of seating for dining. Very spacious, very clean, well stocked kitchen. Pool area was perfect. The pool heater broke before our stay, but the property manager worked to get it fixed quickly and compensated us for the inconvenience, making it worth our while. They were very courteous and I would stay in this location again! We had friends visit us that were also renting in the area and they stated that our house was much nicer than where they were staying! 5 stars! Thank you.

Thanksgiving in Kiawah

Property was as beautiful as described. Daytime highs were in the mid-60's but the pool never reached a swimmable temperature. Not sure if it wasn't functioning properly or it just can't keep up when temps are like that. It was referenced in description as a possible concern, but we had hoped to get to use the pool a bit. Not a huge deal at all. We loved proximity to the beach, private boardwalk, and of course the beautiful home. The elevator was great to use as well since the house is 4 stories including garage. 10 adults and 2 children made up our party and there was plenty of space. Great outdoor sitting areas. Would recommend for sure!

Great Family Vacation!!!

We have stayed at a number of homes on Kiawah. This was our favorite. The home was well appointed and had everything you could ask for. The pool area was large and allowed everyone to interact in or out of the pool. Excellent location for our 10 person family vacation!!!!

Very Relaxing
