Towels were hard, found a long string of hair in the bed, as well as a short hair.. hoping it was an eye lash. The breakfast is very good, price was a lil highg, but comparable to surroundings hotels. Good spot for a meal or gas.
Everything was great and to my expectations. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. I will definitely recommend to everyone.
We stayed the night here on our way to Fort Walton Beach, Florida. It was close to the highway and several restaurants (Dunkin, Waffle House) and a couple of gas stations. Convenient on/off! We checked in around 10:00 p.m. and Diante took good care of us! Welcoming and pleasant. - even though it was so late! The room was clean and smelled good. But the best part was when we went to bed. I thought the beds were comfortable - and I slept amazing! But when we woke up (extremely quiet room) my husband said, "These are the best hotel beds we have ever slept on!" and I completely agreed. Just an amazing night's rest! We also had a roll away - they brought it right over and my daughter said it was okay on comfort. We got up early and went to eat the complimentary breakfast. It was okay - free is free but it wasn't the best complimentary breakfast bar we've had. They had biscuits (they were cold) and gravy (almost hot enough to warm the biscuit), bagels, muffins, hot chocolate, coffee, juices, sausage and cereal/milk. (I will admit we did stop at Dunkin Donuts on the way out of town.) Overall a solid four on the rating - it could have been a 5 but the breakfast was just not as good as we've had at other Day's Inn location! We did not swim in the pool but it was sparkling clean and very inviting!
Spent one night here and found it to be a decent stay. Room was pretty average but clean. Everything I needed was provided. Beds were just right. Bathroom was clean. Unaware of any noise problems. I was in room 105 on the bottom floor. Morning breakfast was typical but plenty and tasty. Location was right off the interstate with plenty of places to get gasoline the next morning.
Very nice hotel, great location easy to get to our family gatherings, shopping, church and eateries.
Upon making the reservation they were told it would be 2 adults and 8 children staying over for the night and a few hours after checking in they then told me the room capcity was 4 after paying my money they told me i would have to pay another twenty dollars for the other individuals and only one adult and 6 children stayed so I would have to pay an extra 15 for the other three kids I would never stay in Day's Inn again because they didn't inform me upfront of none of this until after being there on the premises for three hours
This city was the exact halfway point in our travels. This particular motel was rated #1 for all possibilities using my rewards points. I would have gladly driven another hour just to be at a different hotel. While the decor was updated there was a smell to the room (hard to place). The room had been repainted yet there are at least 2 places in the ceiling where mold was growing. The outdated and micro-sized microwave hadn't been cleaned in a while. There are only what I could assume were old bloodstains on the shower curtain and the tub was rusted. The comforters had a chemical smell to them that did not invoke thoughts of cleanliness. One bed had only pillows that were reminiscent of a bag filled with tennis balls and there were apparently no other pillows on site they could exchange them out with. After check in we went to grab dinner and police were on site as we were leaving. If we weren't going to be out the money we would have left and gone down the road to other accommodations.
The building is obviously not new. There were scuffs and smudges on the walls in the bathroom, and a hole above our toilet paper dispenser. These didn't impact our stay at all, but they were a cosmetic issue. Parking was right outside our door, so we didn't have to haul our luggage very far, and it never seemed dangerous or scary at night (we have been places that did). Our room was very clean, and the AC worked well. The TV was comfortably large. We could see it well from the bed, which was comfortable as well. The bed came with 5 plumpy pillows (the more pillows, the better). Both lamps next to the bed had outlets for plugging in our electronics, and there were others on the desk lamp. The room had a fridge and a microwave. The fridge worked well, we didn't need the microwave, but it had power because the display was on. The bathroom was clean and had what looked to be a very new shower backing. It had a working tub stopper (something missing in a few hotels we've been in). The water pressure was normal, although the water is a bit soft, as the sign on the door warned. The water can get very, very hot, which is great for people like me who like it as hot as we can stand it. It came in very handy the second night when I used it to heat my bum knee after it got painful while working. The light took a little bit to warm up, which wasn't a problem. Breakfast available in the morning consisted of a waffle maker, sausage patties, egg patties, toast, strudel, yogurt, instant oatmeal, boiled eggs (a must for people like me, who are dairy allergic and want eggs), fruit, several kinds of juice, hot tea bags, coffee, and other things I didn't investigate. The staff was very quick to supply me with an extra package of oatmeal when the flavor I can eat was down to one package. Front desk staff were very friendly in all our dealings with them.
I have stayed at this hotel many time and it is great. I love the location and the kindness of the staff. Very clean and comfortable.
Parking spaces are room, breakfast is ok, staff is great, rooms are clean, wifi is a little laggy.
