Amazing privacy, featuring peace and quiet on the mountain, but only a 30 second drive to the Public beach. Local hiking on Black Mountain and Elephant Mountain. A huge 6 bedroom rustic colonial farmhouse, allowing 6-12/+ people to sleep comfortably and fully embrace the lake life of Lake George, NY. It's a two-story, 2400 square foot, family owned beautiful property on 40+ acres. We are pet friendly with 1 1/2 baths, featuring stone scape rock walls, flower beds, a vegetable garden, fire pit and patio, and a large front porch for relaxed evenings with family and friends. 6 bedrooms that sleep 12 plus 2 couches in the living room. Bed linens provided, for an extra charge of $25/room, or you may bring your own. 4 full beds, 1 king size bed, and 2 twin beds. Towels provided for a flat rate of $25 if used, or you may bring your own. Pets allowed for extra fee.
The vacation home is air-conditioned and features a kitchen, 1.5 bathrooms, and a balcony or patio, and there's space to spread out with 6 bedrooms. Guests can expect to find a TV with a DVD player. Other standard amenities include a coffee maker, a phone, and an ironing board.

While the house was clean and the property manager was quick to respond, I feel like the pictures posted do not represent the condition of then house considering the holes and cracks in the walls and the warped door frames. There was no wifi even though the ad said there would be, and we were not notified until we already arrived that it was “broken”, the bathtub was out of order so there was only one place to bathe between 8 people, and the mud room constantly smelled like poop due to poor plumbing. No heads up about the wifi or that no one would have cell phone service except for AT&T users is what really bothers me out of all of this, because not only is it dishonest, but I am now WAY behind on my summer classes.

Walter's place = total gem

The setting is incredible - upstate NY, Lake George, Huletts Landing, and the actual property and house - all amazing. The house is beautiful - recently renovated, but still very rustic. Everything you need is there, its comfortable, and quite charming. The first floor, back deck, various yards, fire pit, walking path, etc. combine to make Walter's place a great option for a big family or reunion looking to just hang out and spend time together. It's a short walk or drive from the town beach and marina too. Otherwise, Whitehall, which is more commercial is about 15+ mins drive away. So resources are within reasonable distance, while you are otherwise totally removed, free, and surrounded by trees, grass, blue skies, and countless stars at night. Walter was very laid back, responsive, and easy to coordinate with. I would highly recommend stay here and renting from him.
