The house is beautifully decorated, and there is a clear intention to create a warm, inviting space. Two of the mattresses were outstanding, the ceiling fans were excellent, and the shower was very nice. The TV setup was also great and easy to use.Prior to arrival, we communicated that we would be arriving late from Austin and that we were in town to attend the AMS conference. Check-in itself was smooth.There were, however, several important realities of the stay that future guests should be aware of.The property is extremely close to a busy roadway, with loud cars driving just a few feet from the windows. Traffic noise was constant and disruptive, particularly at night, and it also made it difficult to use the home for virtual appointments and remote work during the day.The home was very cold due to winter weather, and the thin cotton blankets provided were not sufficient for the temperatures. There were three guests and three sleeping spaces listed, and we assumed blankets would be provided for each. However, only two beds had blankets, and the third sleeping space—a twin foldaway rather than a standard bed as it appears in the photos—had none. No additional blankets suitable for warmth or comfort, such as fleece or heavier blankets, were available. We purchased one blanket ourselves during the stay, and after further communication, one additional blanket was eventually delivered to the door. While appreciated, the home remained under-supplied for winter conditions,

Great location for a visit to MD Anderson. The only issue was no washer or dryer. Host was very responsive. Home had everything we needed, was beautifully decorated and we had so much space.

Location was good. Styling of this place is 10/10! However there is alot of obvious wear and tear. Guests that were renting other unit were very loud when we were there, this is a duplex with a bottom and top unit. One recommendation would be to make check in earlier. 5 pm is way too late especially if you have dinner plans or an event to attend.

Everything was really well presented and clean. I had initially been scared of a review i had seen of the train but we didnt hear it at all. It was a great stay and i would definitely come again.I would note that there was no access to a washing machine like it had been mentioned and there were multiple broken floor tiles throughout the home. Overall it was nothing to deter us from loving this stay.

My one night stay

Overall the place was decorated really cute. The host was very responsive, kind and overall fair. I’m leaving this review just as an honest feedback. The house its self was generally clean however the bathroom specifically the bath tub in the second bathroom not connected to the Main bedroom, was pretty filthy. There was a dead roach on the floor, it was a small house roach not a large outdoor tree roach which leads me to believe the house may have bugs and so an exterminator should be considered. The tub had a black stain or some kind of build up on the bottom of it. This is my only complaint, the toilet appeared clean and the bathroom in the Main bedroom was clean. Neighbors were great and I like that it was gated so we felt safe as a group of girls staying there.

Not worth it

The property itself was very clean and nice but the overall location was terrible. Dogs constantly barking, the dwelling is so close to the road which you can almost feel the shaking when cars drive by quickly, the house is very empty regarding any source of entertainment (books, board games, etc.). While I understand this is a duplex, we had no idea of knowing when someone occupied the other half which caused concerns when we would hear the gate being opened and closed at all hours of the day. Moreover, the motion sensor lights would trigger very easily and shine through the master bedroom windows and would wake me and my spouse. The communication with the staff was great but overall, I would not go back to Houston.
