Great service super helpful staff that helped us through out our time in HK

This hotel is very hip, probably too hip for me, but perfect for young travelers in their early to mid twenties. It’s located a few hundred feet from the MTR, and easy to walk into central within 15 minutes. The hotel rooms are small, but nice. Probably too small for two adults, but it still worked for us. The bathrooms are tiny too, but super clean and the shower is surprisingly spacious, given the size of the rest of the bathroom. Great water pressure in the shower too. Bonus points for the delicious smelling body wash they provide. I didn’t try the shampoo or conditioner, but I’m sure it’s also wonderful smelling. The hotel staff are so incredibly nice, too. I accidentally left something behind when we checked out and they emailed me right away to offer to mail it to me. Most other hotels would have just tossed it and kept going. So so nice and accommodating. I have only two negative points: -the bed was so uncomfortable. It felt like a slim futon mattress resting directly on top of bare mattress coils. We woke up a bunch of times on this bed. It’s hard and will leave you with neck and back aches. Some may like it, though! - the walls are very thin. There were only 3 rooms on our floor, and we regularly heard the guests from the other rooms coming and going, the elevator door slamming, and the people above us showering. Like I said, this hotel is great, but I think it’s best suited for people who are in Hong Kong to drink, party, and not sleep a whole lot.

Small but efficient layout. Could have been a little cleaner.

Excellent central location, 5 min walk to me MTR, very close to central MTR station that goes to the airport. 5-10 min walk to SOHO and many other places. Very friendly staff. Ian was fantastic - always had great suggestions and solutions. Everything in the minibar is free, free coffee, tea, drinks all day, free happy hour. Small, but comfortable Japanese style room. The only downside for me was no place or stand for a suitcase, but if you travel very light - it wouldn't be a problem.

Really great simple hotel near the metro and Central/Soho restaurants and attractions.

This is a new hotel with modern amenities and great location. Would recommend highly. Staff are friendly.

My girlfriend and I loved this place. We only had 2 days in HK for vacation, as part of our East Asia trip, and this hotel was a tremendous value. We arrived a few hours early, but the hotel permitted us to check-in anyway. Great location. Great concierge service. Incredible room for 2 - strong A/C, great shower water pressure, and snacks/minibar/AppleTV provided free-of-charge. Would definitely come back.

I usually stay at 5 star accommodations. But because of my meeting location, Ovolo Noho was ultra convenient. It dosent have the "grand" entrance I'm accustom to, but the hotel is clean, comfortable, and quiet. The rooms are done in a contemporary Japanese style. That is both functional, minimal, and stylish. Breakfast (all meals) are decent and reasonably priced. Where this place really impressed me was with their customer service. When I arrived at 1:00 am, I realized I forgot my passport in my cab from the airport. Mathew (or was it Michael) spoke perfect English and without me asking, immediately found me the Canadian Consulate's contact information, plus (feeling bad for me) gave me two "free" breakfast vouchers. Furthermore, because I left the following morning at 4:30 am to catch my flight home, he had a full bagged breakfast waiting for me at check out. That type of customer service, courtesy, and respect you just don't find as much anymore. For that reason they'll have all my future business, and I'll enthusiastically refer them to everyone. warmest regards, PM

Great location with plenty of restaurants, shops and near tour bus lines. Not far from Man Mo Temple. It's about a 20-30 min walk from IFC mall/areaor the central Pier. Room is petite but comfortable. Good for solo travelers but can accommodate 2 (though not much room for luggage). Great amenities including FREE minibar l, wifi, and laundry. Staff is wonderful. Twice when I've stayed with Ovolo they have accommodated me arriving early. Would highly recommend. Only downsides for me were that you could easily here noise in the hallways and if someone next door took a shower it is quite loud. Not a deal breaker but just to be aware of you are noise sensitive.

This is probably my favorite hotel of my trip. I stayed for 6 nights. Yes, the room is small, it is geared towards businessmen I think. I dont mind the small space, although I am a smaller person(5'4''). I did get the semi-double bed which I feel is bigger than an American Full size bed but smaller than a Queen size bed. You can fit 2 smaller adults comfortably. The room was modern and very clean. I could tell the noise insulation wasnt the greatest as I could hear people in the hall way and next door occasionally, but overall, they were quiet and I slept fine. Of note, the pillows are like usual Japanese pillows in that they are buckwheat hull pillows. At first I was concerned that I would have problems with the pillow being so thin and not soft like traditional polyester/feather/cotton filled pillows, but I ended up loving the pillows as I didnt wake with any neck strains like I did with my traditional pillow in the US. Im actually going to order myself a buckwheat pillow for home. I loved the artificial bath in the basement floor, very clean, modern. This was the perfect location for me as well. It is close to a subway station. There are 7/11's and family mart nearby as well as lots of food options(ramen, sushi, chinese, burgers) within 1-2 blocks. 7/11's are important for atm access for Americans. Also they have good breakfast items if you are not eating at the hotel.

I figured the room would be small, judging by the pictures, but I wasn't quite expecting this small. I booked rooms for my boss and myself, and I felt bad that he had to squeeze into such a small room when he's used to more luxury type places. The staff was incredibly nice and accommodating, but very casual atmosphere. All the amenities you would expect, plus free laundry room. Would stay again if I was a tourist, based on location and price, but not for business.

I've stayed in many hotels around the world, and very few can match the overall value of this gem in the Sheung Wan neighborhood of Hong Kong that I stayed in during early April. Beyond being inexpensive, it's simply very nice. The rooms are modern, thoughtfully designed, and well-equipped with quality toiletries and such (albeit also quite small, as most rooms are in HK). The staff is also friendly and helpful -- particularly the young woman who works the night shift, whom I saw many times due to my heavy jetlag. However, what puts this hotel over the top is the almost absurd amount of freebies that are included in the (rather small) bill: free minibar, free laundry, free breakfast, and free snacks and drinks in the 24 hour lounge on the second floor. Such things may sound trivial in the abstract, but when you've just arrived at night following a 16 hour flight from the States, they mean a lot. In any event, I highly recommend this hotel.

Saw a roach in the room, it is a tiny tiny hotel - guess it's ok for the price

The Ovolo Noho has done a great job of delivering maximum comfort and positive experience from a small hotel room. The rooms are brilliantly arranged for efficient use of limited space and the complimentary amenities are bountiful, most notably an evening cocktail hour (actual two hours) with premium alcoholic beverages and snacks.

This place is great bang for the buck. The pros are the location - its near great things but also just a few blocks away from the MTR. You can also grab a slow moving tram or a bus nearby. Its very safe. The neighborhood is good and you can only use your key to access the floor that you're on. Each floor only has 3 rooms so odds are you'll only see people in the lobby. Its modern, new and clean. And the staff is very helpful especially Harrison. I also loved the all-inclusive feel where all of the water and Cokes were free, and the free breakfast and happy hour were really good! The food is excellent. If you're hankering for western food the McD is right across the street. The only con is the size and efficiency of the rooms. They're tiny! I wish you could open a window to let some fresh air in. You get a bar for hanging clothes but we were there for 10 days so that's not enough. We lived out of our suitcases. There are no shelves or drawers for socks and underwear. Also the bathroom is very dark which makes it difficult for a woman to apply makeup. This was definitely designed by a man!

I stayed at this hotel for 10 days in April. Staff and housekeeping very friendly and professional. Rooms are clean and very updated. The rooms are very small but they do a great job utilizing the space. Free happy hour at the lounge every day from 6pm to 8pm was a plus. Also free laundry facilities. Couldn't ask for more. Also has great local street food around the hotel. Shueng Wan area!

Loved it! For the money (around US$170/night) and the location (Hong Kong), the accommodations and the value were excellent. I was on a business trip, so I was in my 190 square-foot room only to sleep. Are the rooms small? Yes. This is Hong Kong, not Kansas. Was the bed comfortable and the room cool? Yes! For the uninitiated, the A/C and lights come on when you insert your key card in a slot near the light switches. An area this population-dense must conserve energy, and the room cools off nicely within 10 minutes. Great location, a short cab ride from HK Central Station. Quiet and safe neighborhood, others in my party stayed in a $500/night hotel next to very noisy bars. Hah! Very courteous and helpful staff, very nice breakfast and amenities in the cafe'. I stay in a lot of hotels and I'm very picky. I would gladly stay here again.
