The Woods

My husband and I were looking for some place to relax after a hectic winter. The stylish retreat was a great choice. Quiet but not off the grid. Very comfortable.

Great Rental with a few hiccups

Stayed here for a few short days. Leading up to the stay, the owner/management company did a great job with instructions and thorough communication. Upon arrival, communication was a bit spotty when a few issues popped up. This is a beautiful rental for 2-4 people with close proximity to several ammenities. Pros: - Beautiful screened in porch. - Great lighting - Modern look - Well-stocked with what you'd expect for a rental - Bed seemed comfortable as did the furniture. - Looked clean - Grill worked very nicely - Appliances worked well. - Internet worked well. Cons: - Communication with property owner got difficult once we arrived and immediately noted the strong cigarette smell in the rental. It took several messages by me (proof in VRBO messaging app) before I finally got a response from the property management company. - It took about 48-hours after arrival for them to come in to try to address the cigarette smoke smell by changing out the filters and spraying air freshener. It still was quite pungent when the A/C would kick on. - We tried to get passes for the sports center, but weren't informed that they were available until the day just before we left. They were kind enough to at least comp the passes instead of charge us despite the issues. - While the sheets smelled clean, there were a number of dark hairs (from a dog maybe?) found on the sheets. Overall: If the smoke issue gets completely addressed, this is a beautiful rental. The porch is gorgeous.

My new favorite place!

My partner, dogs, and I did not want to leave this adorable little home with peaceful tree-view. I booked this place (which I highly recommend) because of the deck, the view from the deck, the fire pit, proximity to hiking and because I liked the way the home was furnished (plus the kitchen was nice and w/d, sports center and pool was a bonus). I wanted to get out of the city and relax outdoors with my dogs and this place was perfect! I didn't expect it to be quite as residential as it was, but the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. I expected I would go to the sports center and pool, but the porch was so comfortable we all just wanted to nap and relax there as much as possible. We went hiking nearby at Devil's Nose which was pretty. The host was responsive and the amenities were great. I felt happy with every view from the house and can't wait to go back!

Clean & Well Stocked

House was clean, comfortable, and stocked with lots of nice creature comforts. Welcome basket with snacks, waters, and k-cups made arrival very pleasant. The sports complex and grill nearby were a fun addition to our stay. Overall a great place.

Cute, Comfy, and Very Dog-Friendly

We had a lovely stay at Corinne's smart & efficient cabin, as did our dog. We especially enjoyed the screened porch, comfortable beds and the proximity to several hiking options. The cabin was not quite as remote as I imagined, but in the end all was well, because The Woods neighborhood is very quiet and a great place for bird-watching.

Lovely cabin in wooded area

We wanted to get away for a long weekend with our small dogs and this cabin was perfect and so beautiful! Corinne was a wonderful host and extremely responsive! The kitchen is fully stocked with whatever you need to cook, a dishwasher, grill outside, washer and dryer and a huge tv! There were also cleaning supplies available - dishwasher pods, dish detergent, laundry pods, etc. We didn’t get a chance to use the wood burning fireplace inside but fire wood, gloves, newspaper and lighters were available. There was also fire wood outside to be used for the fire pit and a lantern and flashlights, if needed. There were bottles of water, coffee k-cups and even a basket of snacks for us. The screened in porch was amazing! We sat out there with our dogs for hours each morning, drinking our coffee and listening and watching the birds. I did not want to leave and am already planning a trip back here in the fall!

Exactly what we needed. Peace, quite and Comfortable

Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful little bungalow. After our house getting struck by lightning. The short get-away in the whisper of the winds in the trees just took the edge off of the stress. We absolutely loved the screened in porch and fire-pit outside. You all were so quick to unlock the lower lock for us when we locked ourselves out. We will be back.... soon

Great property!

This is a great getaway property! You’re in the woods but at the same time, not totally disconnected from the rest of the world. Excellent hosts! We needed help with a very minor issue the night we checked in and our host was extremely responsive and resolved the issue immediately. Extremely clean and updated. Comfortable beds. Great grill and fire pit area with fresh chopped wood. Highly recommend for a couple, or a couple plus a dog or kid.
