Because they are pet friendly and it’s proximity to my friends and family, motel 6 Southington is perfect for me.
You get what you pay for. This is an inexpensive hotel. The room was sparse but it was clean which is really all I care about. On the plus side, it had a very big HD TV and plenty of channels!
It was horrible. I booked the room for three nights. I didn’t even stay one night. The room was disgusting. Hadn’t been clean it was so nasty. Stained walls hole in bathroom door. Just nasty. Told the property I was staying handed in there key told them why. Then tried to get a refund and they still had the nerve to charge me for one night. I didn’t even stay a half hour after check out!!
It was clean and very very basic - a place to sleep. The check in staff was wonderful. We requested a first floor room with refrigerator and microwave. At his suggestion he gave me keys to the room and had me check to see if we had what we needed before we “officially “ checked in. We asked for a first floor room but ended up on the second floor. When he saw us taking our bags up he came out and helped. The area has lots of options for restaurants - fast food to sit down. We had a small dog with us and that went well. We would stay there again. Easy off and on the highway. There is highway noise but that doesn’t bother us. We aren’t looking for much but a clean place to sleep when traveling through.
It was a drug motel that was dirty and gross inside and out. Trash everywhere, had to wear shoes even walking on the floor, everything was falling apart, leftover toilet paper from the last person to stay in the room, hair everywhere, just flat out disgusting. Only good thing about the place was the guy at the front desk was nice but could barely speak English. Definitely do not recommend and will never be returning.
Price was good and staff is friendly. However there was limited toilet paper, hair and toothpaste in the sink, no hot water in the sink, a bunch of hand towels but no body towel, holes and stains on the walls, no chair and had to downgrade to a regular double room because the first room with a microwave and fridge reeked and didn’t even have a microwave, also toilet was broken.
I made the reservation a few hours before arrival &the customer servuce lady told me at the beggining that she didnt know why u guys let me booked rooms there cuse it was none available!^the beds were half way made

No amenities in the rooms, the tub was broken. Ran out of hot water FAST.
The location was right off the highway which made it very convenient but also very noisy at night. There were a lot of good food options nearby with one (Denny’s) right outside the motel. I loved that it was pet friendly which made it all better. Only downside about this whole stay was the lack of water pressure in the showers. It was very difficult to take a good shower without being in there for at least an hour.
