Adjacent to Rocky Mountain National Park, and only a few minutes from the Village of Grand Lake, this 43 acre property offers everything for a vacation to remember.
The newly constructed, 7 bath - 7 BR home provides a pool table, shuffleboard, dart board, ping pong table, golf simulator/movie room, and room for relaxing. Outside, guests will enjoy a 7-person hot tub and gas fireplace, with majestic views in all directions.
Relax on one of several patios. Or, perhaps enjoy a meal or play games in one of three Alpenglobes. These unique areas seat 8 people and have heaters and electricity. A one acre pond includes a sand beach and dock with a canoe. Enjoy paddle boards or kayaks on the oxbow or pond.
This exceptional property has been restored after the devastation of the East Troublesome Fire (2020). Fields, roads, and waterways were improved. A pavilion with BBQ, wood burning fireplace, and pizza oven were added as a tribute to the owners parents who were lost in the fire. The crowning jewel was the construction of a home intended for gathering.
The story of the fire and commitment to the natural beauty surrounding Grand Lake is found in the book, "A Yellow House In The Mountains", by Glenn L. Hileman. Guests may enjoy reading the rich history of the Hileman families commitment and the remarkable sacrifices made by Glenn's parents to create a bit of heaven on earth. Complimentary copies of the book are available for guests. The story will soon be captured as a full-featured film with the screen play already completed.
The owners hope to share the serenity and joy found on the property with guests. It is truly a year-round vacation destination, Heavy winter snows enhance Grand Lake's reputation as the snowmobile capital of the world. The summer months provide access to the beauty of the Rocky Mountains. Hiking, biking, or simply relaxing at 9000 feet above sea level make for an escape like no other.
