House was absolutely not as portrayed in photos. Terribly maintained. Rug ripped, pillows ripped. Wallpaper peeling. Insulation exposed around window, air blowing through windows. No dressers in the rooms to unpack clothing, had to keep in luggage. Hot tub was not working for most of our stay.Realtor Avantstay offered 100 compensation. Totally ridiculous. Would have never rented if I had seen the what it actually looked like. Very dissatisfied.

Host was very responsive, especially when a bear damaged the trash cage on our first night! They promptly had someone come out to fix it and pick up the trash. The house had pretty views…it is at the very top of the mountain at a dead end. I would not want to drive up or down the mountain at night. So curvy and steep. We were a bit disappointed in the interior quality of the home. Peeling wall paper in the bathroom, one of the bedroom’s TVs had weird white spots all over the screen (it would appear as bright lights in a domino pattern, like it was coming from within the TV), some rugs were torn, etc. Also several spiders, one of which was on a bed at night. Just looked a little worn and tired. We paid nearly 1000 for two nights (right before Thanksgiving), and didn't feel the quality matched the price.

The property was nice. Saw a few bears up close. Loved our stay. Check in was easy. The only thing missing in the kitchen was a bottle type can opener. But I had my own. Would do it again. Thank you!!

Very Nice Property, Great Location, Needs a Few Small Repairs

Overall our stay as awesome! The property is as described in the listing. The facility is clean, overall well maintained and was great for our family long weekend. A few minor details would have made things perfect: 1) ice maker was no working, 2) one of the kitchen wall power plugs no longer worked and 3) the toaster was in need of replacement. Those are all minor items that can be easily upgraded. Overall a great property with views and as many Black Bears as you would like to see.

At the Top

Had an amazing week. Cabin was at the top of the mountain. Didn't realize that when we made the reservation but we had no issues getting up to it. House was clean amd ready to go. Had a high chair and pack-n-play that came in handy also. One issue with the hot tub but ot was resolved the next day. Extremely satisfied!

A perfect family getaway!

Excellent communication and a wonderful location! You wont hear city noise or any noise for that matter, because it literally is on a mountain ridge top!! Plenty of bear trails and views from every side of property. I will say…if you don't have an all wheel drive you probably don’t need to attempt in winter months. Lol

Snowy Mountain Getaway

Very cute cabin

Husband family lives in New Orleans & we live in Miami so we figured we would meet up in Gatlinburg. Didn’t expect the house to be so high up in the mountain.. little bit of anxiety there but it was a great experience. The house was clean & well decorated. We can’t complain. We wanted to spend time with family we had not seen in years & we did. We cooked a lot in the beautiful kitchen & also bbq’d. Would definitely stay there again.

Gorgeous property!

The drive up the mountain is not for the faint of heart, but the views and peace once you get to the house are well worth it! Home was gorgeous and well stocked with everything we needed. Plenty of space, lots to do in the home - games, pool, arcade set up and hot tub. So peaceful and relaxing, beds were super comfortable. We even had a couple bear sightings! Communication with property owners was easy. Very much recommend!

Beautiful views. Seen alot of bears of they didn't bother you. Just make sure not to leave any food out or in your car. It is a very relaxing place to visit and close to all of the excitement and entertainment.

Weekend Getaway With The Girls

When arriving at the cabin We received a nice little welcome basket with goodies in it. That was thoughtful. There are a few things that needed to be addressed. Most important was the cleanliness of the cabin. We had to call the manager on the first night there after a long travel day because one of the beds in the bedroom did not have clean linen on it. Bed linen had stains, human and pet hair all over it. The manger offered to come change the linen however he was over an hour away. Because of how late it was, he just gave us the code to the linen closet to change ourselves and sent someone to change them the next morning. This was also an inconvenience as they arrived just as we were getting up and preparing to start the day. The cleaning ladies also entered the cabin with their master code I guess without permission to enter. There were clearly cars parked outside the cabin but we weren’t given time to get to the door. I’m a stickler about cleanliness at hotels cabins or wherever so for us this put a very negative start to our stay. The cabin also needs a bit of dusting!! We have been to Gatlinburg multiple times and this cabin didn’t compare to some others that we have stayed in. The pictures online was a bit deceiving. The ice maker on the fridge didn’t work and there was no outside lighting at the front door when entering at night. Multiple bulbs were out in the kitchen. Overall, we would not recommend this cabin. For the price, you could stay somewhere a lot nicer!

Stay at Cabin

It was a nice place. Comfortable and home like, but it looked liked it had not been cleaned very well. The floors were dirty, the showers and tub was not cleaned hair all in it. Had to clean it before we showered.
