Perfect stay for our 4 families

Location: We loved that the house is away from the crowds and in a gated community. The kids were able to run around without worry of traffic. Views of the big bridge and the bay are gorgeous. It’s no more than 10mins from beach access and stores like dollar general and gas stations. House: It fit our 4 families great (total of 15, 8 adults and 7 kids ages 4-13)! Each bedroom has its own bathroom plus a half bath by common area. There are tvs in every bedroom and beds and couches are good. Kitchen functioned great. Rooms are really sound proof so taking naps while everyone was awake and moving around was easy peasy. It was easy to tidy up and clean during check out. Oh and stairs up to the house are sturdy and not scary to go up and down with stuff and kids. Owner: very communicative checking in on us and very responsive. They appreciated any feedback back we had. Bonus: they have a Cowboy Pool by the parking area that was perfect for the kids. I seriously have no complaints at all and can’t wait to come back!

Off the beaten path

Small multigenerational family trip midweek. About a 15 minute drive to beaches. Walk a few hundred yards to wade fish. Like the stock pond pool for cooling off with the baby. House was great for our small group.

8 nights. Nice house for a family with small kids not older adults. There was no house number on the property. The under parking is too tight for large suv’s. Door locks were almost impossible to figure out without the key. Not one toilet paper roll holder or towel rack. The bottom bunk bed was about 6” off the floor. Hard to get out of bed.

Great house!

Loved using this house for a girls weekend. Loved how big it is and that there were 5 bathrooms! Listing is a bit outdated as there is now a stock tank pool, but other than that it's BEAUTIFUL and in a very quiet, gated neighborhood away from the hustle of the main part of the island. We will be back!

Mardi Gras- A Night in Oz weekend

The property was clean, cozy, spacious and conveniently located. Plenty of utensils in the kitchen. Comfy living room…couch was really soft and comfortable. Loved that each bedroom its own bathroom.

Great way to start our vacation.

We stayed at this location before leaving on a cruise. The house was in a remote but beautiful location. There was plenty of room for everyone in the family. The neighborhood was gated and passcode secured. We would definitely rent this location again. It is important to note that this house is on stilts which requires you to climb a large stairwell.

Beautiful Property

Our family enjoyed New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day at this beautiful home. It was perfect for my family of 5, my sister-in-law and her two children and my in-laws. There was so much room and every room has its own restroom!My husband is a chef and truly enjoyed the beautiful kitchen. There were so many things provided in the kitchen that we really didn’t need to bring much. The location of this property is amazing, our older son was able to go fishing so close to the home. We truly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely want to stay again.

Worst VRBO booking EVER

We booked this house to stay overnight before heading to board our cruise the next morning. After driving for 10 hours we were all looking forward to getting ready for bed. Immediately upon entering the house we saw trash overflowing the kitchen trash can, food in the oven, and a terrible smell. We thought that we were walking in on someone who was already in the house or at the wrong house. After farther exploration of the house we found every bed looked like it had been slept in and every towel in the house was used. We contacted the host who at first told us that the cleaning crew still had the house on their list to clean. It was after 8 PM. And they were trying to contact them. They were not willing to give a refund at this point. We literally stripped the beds are started washing sheets so we could at least sleep. We emptied all the trash, turned off the oven, and picked up trash throughout the house. After finding unclean hygiene practices throughout the house we found it unacceptable to even stay overnight. We contacted VRBO and they said we would get a full refund. Beach Box responded after VRBO that they were still trying to get someone out to clean but did agree to give us a refund. Beach Box’s representative was not helpful, apologetic nor sincere about the whole incident. VRBO was very helpful with us getting a refund. We ended up staying in a hotel room a couple of miles away. Not a good start to our trip. I would strongly caution anyone from booking a Beach Box

Santa Hustle

A group of friends and myself stayed in Galveston to participate in the Santa Hustle race. We enjoyed our stay. There was plenty of room for all of us. House was clean and property management was easy to get ahold of if needed.

House on Anderson Bay.

Great house. I enjoyed the open living room and kitchen. The dings besides the constant cold wind was the oven did not work 100%. It kept losing temperature and was wildly under powered. I am guessing the circuit it is on is not enough amps. Made for a crazy Thanksgiving and 3 days of cooking. We managed and had a great time but... The rooms were clean and big. The water heater suffered the same fate as the oven as I took some cold showers but it woke me up for sure.

Would not recommend BeachBox Vacation Rentals

The house was lovely and we were excited for a two-night stay. Upon arrival, the lockbox was unlocked and the guest key was missing. As instructed, I unlocked the housekeeping key instead, but didn't have to use it because all four sets of doors were unlocked. The home had been left unsecured for an unknown period of time. I let management know it felt unsafe. They said they would look into it. They did not. I next let them know the locks were corroded, and with much effort was able to get three of four sets of doors jammed locked. I let them know the house was unsecured, I could not safely stay the first night, requested a single-night refund, and had to find a hotel at extra expense with an hour's notice after dark. They refused my refund. I did not stay night one. The next day, I submitted more requests for maintenance updates, and was sent a video for how to lock the door type, which wasn't the issue given the locks were corroded and had to be jammed with force. I sent additional requests for maintenance, each with a vague "We will look into this for you" reply, until one that read, "We will have it checked today." They did not. No one ever came. I took safety measures into my own hands for the second night, asked again about a maintenance report, and the question was not answered. I was sent their standard checkout process details with no further info. Though the house was lovely, I would never recommend this company.
