I waited until last minute and found a cheap hotel for my trip (punk rock festival), and got what I paid for. The room had a musty mold like smell and was stuffy do to the lack of AC. The bed felt damp and wasn't that comfortable. The bathroom door didn't have a lock on it. I got a non-smoking room with cigarette ashes in it. Window had a bar as a lock. The TV was obsolete and ancient. The staff was friendly. My advice would be for you to spend more money for a nicer hotel since the few extra bucks would be more than worth it.

Don't hesitate to stay here if you're coming for the Fest. A lot of bands stay here, so you can just hitch a ride with them downtown. Plus, there's a bus stop nearby that takes you where the shows are. Staff is friendly. The party scene is tight.

It was close and convenient for where we needed to be. It is old and needs some updating but room was clean and large.

Felt like you were in the 80s in a bad movie. Bring your time machines

Not Bad For the Price. Felt Like you were in a bad 80s movie in the room.

We were visiting Gainesville for UF Homecoming. Every hotel in Gainesville was booked or we would not have stayed here. The best word to describe this hotel is unsafe. The description of amenities is a flat out lie. The pool was dried up, the wi-fi didn't work, there was no grill and the playground area should be condemned before someone gets hurt. The inside of the hotel room was disgusting. There were other people's body hairs in the shower, stains on the mattresses, rust in the sink and mold in the shower drain. I am not even disclosing every detail in this description. In a nut shell, DON'T STAY HERE!!

I chose this hotel because of its exceptionally good value for the money since I was staying a week in Gainesville to attend a personal training class. It`s located close to the University of Florida and is a college town of about 50,000 people. The hotel room size was nice, had an easy chair, a desk, a mini fridge and microwave. The bathroom needed some attention with the fixtures. The hotel staff was exceptionally warm and friendly and helpful. So, overall, for the low price of $36 a night and what I got for that...I would stay again.

I'm pretty sure I contracted a disease while staying here. The room smelled like something died and the bathroom was so dirty I felt more disgusting after I showered. I didn't even want to walk around without shoes on. Don't waste your time or money on this dive. I need to go get a tetanus shot now. Goodbye.

It was a pleasant stay. Refrigerators are very large. Microwave and coffee maker. Nice tropical back view. Very close to campus and stores.

Not sure where to start ... Room was advertised as having a refrigerator & microwave. Neither worked. Most of the lights and outlets in the room did not work. The TV reception & volume was terrible. The Free WiFi kept throwing us off the Internet. The sliding doors that lead out to the balcony did not lock (a SECURITY issue). The toilet was very slow flushing. The Ice Maker in the hall area outside, did not work. The Free Continental Breakfast consisted of banana's & packaged muffins along with stale disgusting coffee. The entire place needs to be gutted !!!

My family was just stopping over night to rest from the long drive from Atlanta to Miami. The hotel was clean, with fridge and microwave. It was good for our over night stay. We left early and did not stay for the continental breakfast. For all that was offered and what we were able to use it was good for the price.

Other than the very friendly front desk person, the room was by far the worst room I have ever stayed in. if I could rate 0 stars I would have, dirty or stained towels and rags, carpet, sticky spreads... I didnt expect much for $50 per night, and I was extremely disappointed. I had 2 bedbugs in my suitcase the next day. I was so disgusted, I couldnt wait to leave.

Good for the price paid, staffs are very friendly.

Pretty much get what you pay for. Don't expect something crazy fancy its just a motel. But the staff was very helpful and friendly and everyday had plenty of clean towels.

This hotel did the job. It's cheap, it's old, it's about 2 1/2 miles from UF. Did I mention that it's cheap? So anyway, if you need a very basic room at the lowest possible rate - look here. It does have a pool and a small "playground" and the refrigerator/microwave in the room was a nice touch. Still, we were pretty sure the blankets/comforter were NOT washed in between stays - we pulled those off the bed. The room was a nice size and even had a balcony and vaulted ceiling (2nd floor). The soap holder in the shower was broken and had sharp edges, and the sink was not exactly dirty - but VERY dated and rust-stained (there was a second sink outside the bathroom). There was an industrial-strength toilet in the room that flushed very loudly. The staff was friendly. It was completely quiet both nights we stayed. If all you plan to do is sleep in the room a few hours and don't want to pay for amenities that you might find at more upscale places, this place might suit you. Next door to Checkers and McDonalds and across the street from a Walmart - as mentioned, a short drive to UF.

Horrible, I travel for work on a weekly basis and this is the worst hotel that I have ever stayed in. It was way over priced and the mantence issues were many. The place smelled and to top it off the tried to put me in a smoking room.

cheap, good enough for me I had 2 days breakfast coffee, cookies, orange juice and bananas (no bread no eggs)

My 3 friends and I went to Gainesville to see a concert, so we were there only one night, and were looking for a cheap place to stay. While the Knight's Inn was no Gaylord, the service was the friendliest I've ever had, and it's location just miles from University Road made it a perfect place to stay. For less than $60, I had a good time. Don't go expecting pristine rooms or a beautiful atmosphere, but if you're just looking for a comfy, cheap place to stay, I couldn't recommend this more.

breakfast was a joke

I booked this hotel last minute for a trip to University of Florida in Gainesville. The price was unbeatable, and while the accommodations were modest, the staff was exceptional. The location was great for visiting UF (10 minutes from Gainesville airport, 5 minutes from main campus). For a cheap, clean last minute stay right near campus, it can't be beat.
