Great House

Very nice house right across from the pool and short walk to the beach. Great location for all ages really. Dollar General is a short walk as well and very convenient.

Family vacay

Destin was beautiful. The house was clean. Well stocked. The older guys loved the top balcony. They hung out there a lot. Everyone had their own space. Plenty of beds. Short walk to the beautiful beach. Pool right across the street. Would love to return again one day .

For the next guest’s

We have gone to Florida every summer for the last 6 years. This was our second time at the emerald shore community. We stayed at a different property last year at emerald shores. We love the location and the private beach access. This specific property was a great size and definitely fit our family of 10 and would easily fit 14. However, there were a few things that I would have wanted to know before arriving there. 1) the trash wasn’t taken out when we got there - this is just laziness on the cleaning crews end 2) no toaster 4) no condiments, not even salt and pepper, no coffee or filters 5) absolutely zero toys or accessories for the beach - I have never stayed anywhere that had literally nothing. We left a few of the beach toys for the next family. 6) the master has a nice jetted tub that we were not able to use because they didn’t provide a plug 7) there are no extra blankets, so if you are sleeping on the coach sofa - bring a comforter. They only have sheets. On the beds there may have been blankets but if those were blankets they were the thinnest blankets I’ve ever seen. 8) the bunk beds outside of the rooms and on the way upstairs were extremely uncomfortable. My mom said they felt like sleeping on box springs. 9) they had no kitchen towels. No pot holders to grab something out of the oven. So we used the bathroom towels they provided. I am not a negative person. I know things come up but I’ve also stayed at a lot of different properties and I don’t think I have stayed at one that was ever “missing” so many things. Especially one that can accommodate so many people. Had I known prior to driving to Florida - I would have brought condiments, blankets, our own chairs for the beach, a toaster, perhaps a pot holder (weird), coffee filters, coffee. You will need laundry detergent and dish detergent (they provide two pods of each for your large group of 14 people) We ended up buying all of those things once we got there. All things I could have brought from home. I hope this helps the next family!

Nice but lacking

When we arrived we were not provided with the gate code for entry. When we reached out we never received a response throughout our entire stay. We didn’t have enough bath towels but luckily we had brought a ton of beach towels. Some of the beds only had the fitted sheets (no cover blankets). Again, luckily we had brought some of our own. A few of the beds were very uncomfortable you could feel the springs, especially the bunk beds our kids slept in. The kitchen was very lite on necessities since we were planning on cooking at home. Also, we came across a few large roaches in the restrooms and in the kitchen. The location was nice, the house is very spacious, and the living room was cozy.

Great Destin Home

We had our family and our friends (4 adults and 10 children) and it was perfect for us. Comfortable beds, nice layout, and beautiful location. Short walk to the beach, right next to the pool, and beautiful grounds in the community. We will definitely be going back!

Wonderful stay

Great location! There were a few minor floor damages and bit of difficulty accessing the house but nothing to ruin the experience. I would stay here again!

Disappointing

Very outdated felt dirty. Patio furniture filthy not able to use. Floors dirty wood floor in family room coming up easy to trip on. No extra blankets for beds, bunk beds terrible mattress but the others were good. Absolutely no cleaning products left for daily cleaning of kitchen. Toilets clogged twice, AC not working when we got there. The lady working at the office with in management company was very helpful but not her fault for all the issues. We were with six other families who rented in the same neighborhood and all their homes were nicely renovated and came with supplies. Very disappointed this trip.

There were several things that were broken, but when contacting the office they made an effort to correct the problems. Most were completed, but not all.

Nice stay

The house was nice. Location was good. The rocker on the upstairs porch is a liability. I fell backwards. I wasn't hurt but you need to remove. The handrail on stairs up to loft was broken and your dryer doesn't work well.
