Room was nice, quiet, bed a little small for two people. good location and lots of parking.
Location, building and room space. Fromt desk staff needs more training. Maintenance very poor. Maid service horrible

Relatively quiet, on far east part of town with a few places to get food. Has a nice fitness room for quest use.
After waiting 15 minutes for someone to greet me at check-in, I was told that the room reserved for me was unavailable because the previous occupant decided to stay. I had to find another hotel.
It was not Holiday Inn but for price very good for people who are visiting the area.
Clean and nice king size bed. Used hotel to visit Big Bend National Park.
Had a nice time, couldn't eat at the resteraut. Everything was to greasy
Hotel is old; used mostly to house workers for the railroad. There is no office. Registration takes place at the diner next door. Coffee maker was broken; not replaced, tho we reported the need. Bathroom faucets, showerheads, and drain were dirty (soap scum.)
I stayed here in Alpine because I was visiting Marfa & there aren't many available/affordable places to stay there. Staff was very friendly & nice! Good value for the money & a good location close to everything. Wi-Fi worked well, which is important on a vacation! They offer free breakfast or a discount on a meal at Penny's Diner next door, which is open 24 hours. 4 stars for amenities only because there's no pool. Everything else was great & I would stay here again!
I was in Alpine for some meetings and spent very little time at the hotel. I had the room right next to the entrance door at the end of the 1st Floor. I thought it might be noisy with people coming and going during the night but, I never heard a thing. Check-in and Check-out was quick and friendly. It was nice to have a sit down breakfast in a diner at an inexpensive hotel for a change.
The room was clean and basic or typical but nice decor. The beds are very firm. Check-in is through the adjacent restaurant. The staff can get very busy and rude. No Excuse. I wont go back there.
We get there and check in, and she told us how to get to our room, but the door she told us to use didn't work, so we had to use the employee entrance and hope that no one had locked the door. I opened the door to the room and the smell just about knocked me over-it was nasty. Put our bags down and went to use the bathroom and the floor was dirty, the tub was filthy so I cleaned the toilet as best I could before I used it. I went to put the stuff from the cooler in the mini fridge and the handle was cracked and it was not very cold. I then went to sit on the chair and relax and when I patted the arm of the chair a large cloud of dust billowed out. It is advertised as quiet and yet you can hear everything around you..ie other rooms flushing toilets, taking showers, people walking by. We were traveling with our dog and everytime someone walked by he would growl. Once it was time for bed, we laid down on top as I would not sleep on the sheets and it was the most comfortable bed I have ever been in. It felt as if the head of the bed was LOWER than the foot and there was no support, thusly we could not sleep. So after tossing and turning for three hours, we got up, checked out (which took forever) and left.
