Postcard Inn Beach Resort & Marina

We heard great things about the Postcard Inn so we decided to stay there the first night of our vacation. Upon arrival the A/C in our room was not working properly. We called the front desk and someone was sent promptly. However, he simply said the room hadn't had time to cool down. Therefore, we decided to go have lunch and upon return the room still wasn't cooling. We called the front desk again and a second technician came out and was able to resolve the issue. After a long afternoon of swimming in the pool and ocean we returned to the room again to find the TV not working. Again we called the front desk and someone had to come out and resolve the issue with the TV. The next day we woke up on a tight timeline to meet friends at our next destination only to find out the water was not working. After calling the front desk AGAIN, i was informed the water would only be off for 30 minutes. However, that didn't allow enough time....so no shower for me!

Upgraded room and it was totally worth it. Oceanview. Everything was perfect.

Checking in initially I was given the wrong room, the manager was able to correct this after talking to her for a while. The second room I was given was filthy, hair in the tub and bedside tables had drink rings on them. During my stay the toilet broke, tub broke, and power went out. They were able to fix each of these things after calling the front desk twice. The pool and beach looks nicer in photos online, pool is slightly small and warm. The beach is not clear, more full of seaweed than anything. Positive side they have everything you need in one place, two bars, and two restaurants on site.

The hotel grounds were beautiful, our room had excellent beach access. The staff was friendly and the guys at the beach services were very accommodating. The Raw Bar had good food and was convenient, but could use an expanded menu. The room was a little uncomfortable, it needed to be rearranged to make better use of the space. We really enjoyed our visit there and found several great restaurants in the area. The views were spectacular and the resort grounds were large enough to not feel crowded.

Very clean. We stayed a week and found it to be very clean and tidy. Beds and linens were very comfy. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The only 2 suggestions I would make are.......no cooking break fast at the raw bar. I get that it is on the ocean but no one wants fishy eggs.....no one. The food overall lacked freshness and quality. It had an overall 'you have to eat here' taste. Beach was great! Pool is salt water and amazingly clean. And again can't say enough about the nice staff.

The only reason I didn't rate 5 stars was because the bathroom sink did not drain well.

Enjoyed our stay. Staff were all friendly and very helpful. Amenities are great. It isn't a "fancy" resort but you're in the Keys so who cares!

My husband and 4 year old son and I stayed in a deluxe 2 BR oceanview for 4 nights. The view from the balcony was amazing and we were steps from the sandy beach- I could speak to my husband from our balcony down to the hammock on the beach. The room was nicely renovated and we loved having a separate sleeping space for our son. We would have preferred the king bed on the balcony side of the suite, and the 2 queen beds in the front room. The keurig coffee maker was nice and they supplied coffee and tea. There was also a mini-fridge. The safe didn't work right and we had to call maintenance to retrieve my husband's items from the safe on our date of departure because it would not open. Maintenance did arrive promptly. The kayaks and paddle boards are nice. Beach is small and there is a lot of sea grass. Not great for snorkeling. The saltwater pool on the beach is very nice. They have a second pool not on the beach, which we didn't use. The raw bar is right on the beach and seafood was great there. Breakfast was okay but overpriced. The Italian restaurant also was good. They had plenty of sand toys for our son and a few other games out on the beach.

We stayed one overnight. We pre-paid for three premium rooms but only one was premium. We were also charged a resort fee despite bad weather. Better to go to Key West so there are back-up plans if the weather is bad.

Very nice hotel, recently remodeled on a very nice beach. Great Tiki Bar onsite. No complaints - would definitely stay again.

The fridge had a tetrible smell and was leaking out to the floor

Husband and I stayed for a weekend (Sat-Mon) in January. Hotel staff is very friendly and accommodating. The hotel has been updated with more modern features, but you can still see the age in some areas - chipped paint, some rusty spots, challenging pocket doors. Some of the room "balconies" are not private and don't have sliding glass doors, so be sure to request a private balcony upon reservation if this matters to you. The room was not perfectly clean, but as Miami residents we know how challenging salt-water, sandy environments can be. The AC was a bit loud, but most wall units are. What you can't beat is the proximity to the beach (literally right outside your door if you choose Oceanside). The pool area is lovely and super relaxing - and also surrounded by beach. We weren't able to take advantage of water activities due to weather, but there are a lot of fun options. The Raw Bar and Tiki Bar are super chill. The onsite restaurant Ciao Hound is excellent, and perfectly situated if you need a "bar food and pina colada break" for a lovely meal and fine wine - while still on premises. We had a wonderful stay.

This hotel was recommended to us by a friend. It was for our 5 year anniversary. It was raining when we checked in and the check in person (Christopher I believe) was so nice to upgrade our room to an ocean view after we told him of the foot of snow we had on our wedding day five years earlier. I was also celebrating by birthday that was two days earlier. Despite the fact it rained most of the time we were there the place was awesome. The rooms were very clean and staff super friendly. We definitely plan to return and hope for better weather.

Excellent staff, but the facilities are dated. The hotel is in the process upgrading the property, so future comments should improve. I will be staying again.

I walked in to check in and had to wait for 20 minutes for receptionist to get off the phone. After check in and no explanation how to get to my room , I had to stop and ask another employee where to go. Opening the door to the room felt like Alaska it had to be 65° in the room. I tried turning thermostat down and it wouldn't turn off. I figured it out that there was about a 10° difference between what was on the thermostat and the actual room temperature. Dropped off bags and went to get a bite to eat they stopped serving at 10. It was 950 and no food available, went and got a snack at machines and went to bed. The bed was wore out , the kind of bed that sinks in the middle and you have to fight to get out of. In the middle of the night the air conditioner turned on and wouldn't shut off it was freezing in the room. I turned it off completely then woke up sweating. I was to stay 2 nights but had enough fun the 1st night that we left in the morning. When I checked out I was asked how my stay was I told them they need to work on the room. After saying that I wasn't asked what was wrong or any concerns just a charge for one night and a thank you. I'm sure other people have not had this experience but for $555 for one night I shouldn't of either. I promise I will never be back.

We had an awesome stay at the Postcard Inn. The crew at the beach was great to work with and even taught us how to paddle board. Beds were great, room was clean and would definitely recommend!

We had a nice time there. a beautiful view of the Atlantic. The hotel and pool were right on the beach.

The only problem was the floor in the room had been replaced and had not been cleaned properly. Had black on your feet when you walked on it. Everything else was great.

The facility has not been maintained and is in very shabby condition. Also the Tiki bar is under construction and the "game/tv room" is very dirty and smells of mildew. The builldings are in need of repair and painting and are in a total state of disrepair. Overall it is very disappointing to pay $300+ for a room with a view of the parking lot in a building that has not been maintained. The staff is very apologetic for the state of the hotel, however, there is nothing that they can do but apologize.

Ready to go back once all the work is complete! Cant wait to see the finished product!
