Wonderful Stay

Loved the area. Pool was nice. Lovely bay view. Very short walk to the beach, and the customer service of Real Joy rentals was amazing. They actually called to check in on us. Talking to a real person, not automation, that actually checks in and cares about you, is unheard of these days.

First family beach vacation

Great Experience

This was a beautiful property, just as shown in the photos. It was a very short walk to the beach. The bay was beautiful. Property management was easy to contact and very helpful when needed. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

The property looks like what is shown online. However, it is suggested that the owner consider doing upgrades if they want persons to continue to rent it. The kitchen floor is screaming repair. Also, the cookware needs to be replaced. Some of the pots and pans need replaced. The TV in the bedroom did not work. The location is good. Also, explain to guest how the beach service works in the area. Let them know the property does not have beach service. Very important information. Otherwise, a good place to rent.

Beware of Post Checkout Charges!

Our stay was perfect and the rental unit itself was great, BUT caution beware for post checkout charges from RealJoy Vacation Rentals! My family of 5 stayed for 3 nights in July. 18 days AFTER checkout I received an email from RealJoy stating that my credit card was being charged $780 in damages for a "human sized dent" in the wall! My family absolutely positively did NOT dent any walls or doors OF ANY KIND during our short stay at the rental. Any number of people could have been in/out of that rental within that 18 day period. I have already contacted RealJoy and I have filed a charge dispute with my credit card company, but I want others to be aware of this to hopefully avoid it from happening to them.

Beautiful!

The condo was absolutely beautiful!! VERY clean and just a short walk to the beach. They had music playing for when we arrived which was such a nice, welcoming touch. We had a small issue with the hall bathroom shower, but they had someone out right away to fix it. We would definitely stay again!

Nice Stay, Decently Clean, but Very Humid

It was a very nice stay aesthetically and looked exactly like the photos. The beach is a bit of a walk but not too bad. The space was mostly clean, however we did find a dead roach on the floor and a dirty fork in the drawer. The apartment became intensely humid on the final day of our stay even with the windows and doors closed. The humidity was so bad that the beds and our clothes felt damp. Would have appreciated not having to empty the trash bags after leaving, especially considering that we pay a cleaning fee. Overall, not a bad experience, 3/5.

Great Stay

We enjoyed our girls trip. We flew into Florida so it I would have been nice to have beach chairs available. Also a later check out would have been nice. The posted signs throughout the complex had a very negative tone. Overall we had a great time the condo was very clean and the description matched the listing.

Better Than Expected in Dolphin Point

Wife and I spent a month here in winter. This unit in Dolphin Point is great if you're looking for a spacious 2 br stay in Destin. Bedrooms are large, as is the open floor plan of the living/dining/kitchen area. Kitchen is well stocked with cookware. Balcony faces south, overlooking the pool area and the far eastern end of Destin harbor. Plenty of sun and wildlife views (ducks, pelicans, herons, osprey) and occasional dolphins in the harbor. The Holiday Isle area is quieter than downtown, and loaded with multi-million dollar houses. Walk to the Gulf beach access is an easy 0.3 miles away and takes about 5 minutes. Since we were here in winter, the building and entire community was blissfully quiet. Place was clean and communication with "owners" (RealJoy) was good. We didn't have any problems, so cannot speak to how RealJoy would respond to problems but they seem professional. We wouldn't hesitate to come back.

As advertised

Good visit. The place is exactly as advertised; clean, comfortable and within walking distance to beach. We like to cook and kitchen was clean and new. The view of the harbor was very nice and condo is located in a mostly single family residential area of higher end homes. Good pickleball courts. Only downside would be not having a washer / dryer in the unit, though one is located near the elevator for public use.

cute place

it was a very cute place , looked just like pictures. Only downside is the walk from the beach is a little longer than expected. The tram services(assuming they drive you to the beach) was down so the walk to the beach was not fun. Also,The hot water lasted for about 5 mins while showering. Other than that the stay was great.

Family Vacay

The condo was clean and spacious. Enough room for our family vacation. The walk to the beach was a little further then we expected especially with little ones but we made it work. Beautiful neighborhood and loved the bay with the boats. Great for fishing.
