Nice resort with something for everybody. I was worried about taking my one year old but the place was very family friendly. Would highly recommend.

We had a mostly positive experience. The staff was friendly, the room was clean. The toilet tank did not fill properly so it would not flush very often which is a problem with four people in a room. We noticed it right away but it was not addressed during our stay. We had room service for dinner and the food was good and the price was you would expect for room service. We can not say the same for breakfast, over priced, under portioned, which was fine because it was all terrible!. We eat lunch at the pool bar and the food and price were good. One thing that made us uncomfortable was they were very strict about signing out towels. This fine but they were not as attentive about checking them back in. The whole time we were left wondering if we were going to get hit with towel charges. Still waiting the final bill.

It is a HUGE hotel and just beautiful! Interior is stunning and lush. It used to be a member only property so there is a member parking and a guest parking. It is not a big deal once you figure out where to go which only took us one time. They do valet parking also. We stayed in a one bedroom suite with an ocean view to celebrate my birthday weekend. The rooms are very spacious with a stunning balcony view. In the room they have 2 tvs, a large closet & the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept on! They provide a fridge and also have a small kitchen area with cups, plates & glasses. For dining, you have the best of both worlds with incredible restaurants that are 5 star and Publix is right down the road. The beach is pristine & stunningly gorgeous! We spent a lot of time out there and it never gets old! I saw a few reviews stating it was further than they expected. From our room, it was very close. The waterslide and pools for the kids are clean and super fun! Also, putt putt and bike rentals made it perfect when you need non water sports.

Everything exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived at the gate until the moment we left everyone was super friendly and polite. The 3 bedroom villa was perfect and very spacious. We called and asked for extra towels and they were promptly delivered to our door our first night. I absolutely loved the large soaking tub in the master bath. The balcony was much larger than I thought and if we had more time would have used it with the great view of the resort. Just a short drive to St Augustine with lots of restaurants nearby and at the resort. There were elevators straight up to our room.Would definitely go back!

I worked very hard n drove from NJ to FL to enjoy this so called 5 star resort as a gift to myself after the holiday and was extremely disappointed in the room for the price. The resort n outside view are amazing but inside my room it was an igloo..the AC nor HEAT worked and the water was freezing in the shower and bathtub. Also the most relaxing feature-the deep tub was not only freezing but spit out a dark brown water which was disgusting. I have Raynaud Syndrom and my hands suffered the entire time i was in the room. I was very bothered and disappointed. Would not recommend it.

Very very nice and relaxing not one complaint. A1 amentities friendly staff. Golf course superb!!

Beautiful resort, lots of pools, private beach with umbrellas & chairs

This hotel is one of the finest establishments we have ever stayed. The hotel offers a tremendous amount of amenities as the atmosphere and staff are spectacular. From the moment we arrived at the hotel we were thoroughly impressed. I would recommend this resort to anyone.

Great location and amenities. Staff was excellent and helped us with anything and everything we needed. We will return here for our family vacation for many years to come.

Staff was terrific. Great facilities and location. The Villas where we stayed were not convenient to the rest of the amenities. The bedrooms were adjacent to the outside hallway and night lights shown through the the blinds. No curtains to darken the bedrooms. The unit is also adjacent to the elevators which make a loud noise. The restaurant was very expensive based on the quality of food.

Paying Ritz Carlton prices but experiencing 3 star service hotel & staff are tired and need a complete refurbishment .We arrived 3.00pm Friday front desk could not locate our reservation even after we give them the confirmation number took 1 hour 30mins to resolve. It is a Beach resort that offers no food or Beverage service on the beach! Brought our own Waterford crystal champagne flutes which disappeared for our room when queried no follow-up from management

We were there for the golf, and the course was absolutely beautiful. The property was very nice, the location amazing, right on the beach, but for a five star hotel I was disappointed. The room we stayed in was an ocean view one bedroom suite. It was very clean and nicely decorated. However, on one side of the wall to wall wardrobe, oddly, was a full size water heater and an AC unit that ran very loudly all night long!!! It was right at the end of the bed! When it did occasionally kick off, I woke up because the silence was so apparent! JUST AWFUL!!! The bed was not very comfy either! Cheap bedding more in line with a 2 star motel! The 2 TV's were not flat screen and were old with poor picture quality! Honestly?? UPDATING DESPERATELY NEEDED. Also, cosmetically, I was shocked that there was extensive drywall damage and woodwork damage in the hallway on the way to our suite. There were several other cosmetic maintenance issues on the property extensively stained carpet, rusted railings etc. Very surprising for a resort of this caliber. We ate at Atlantic Grill on property. The view of the ocean was beautiful, but the restaurant was plain and uninviting and the food was just okay. I had salmon for $34. It was a small 5-6 oz fillet that was quite tasty, but was served with orange quinoa and swiss chard that were both just horrid!! Truly awful and I am not picky. I could not even eat a few bites of either. They were some of the worst sides I have ever had! Honestly! Everyone in our party of 7 said their food was just ok. Rather disappointing. When I made the reservation, and again upon check-in, I requested a late check out (on a Monday) and when I asked Monday morning what time I could stay until I was told my room had guests checking in and I could not check out late. The hotel occupancy was very low. Very disappointing guest service from the concierge. On a positive note, the valets and bellmen were all wonderful, very personable, fast and helpful. Beach chairs and umbrellas were free and the view was spectacular.

great for families, big room full kithcen great amenities

The location is fantastic. The grounds are beautiful. The room was clean. But.. The hours for the on property amenities were odd. The sports bar was not open until 7pm on a Saturday. Hello, college football. Do not under in circumstances go dine at the Atlantic Grill. It was dirty, the food and decor was stuck in the 80's. For $40 and entree I expected much, much more. To top it off we had to look at a dirty table our entire time there. No excuse for that. It might have been because the resort was almost empty, but that is no excuse for dining experience. Over all I would stay there again.. but do not expect the enjoy the on property amenities.

I really love this place. Beautiful, staff is amazing. The only drawback is the food and drinks are very expensive.

I purchased a 3 day stay in a 3 bedroom, ocean view. The resort looked beautiful from the photos... so that was enough to seal the deal. We showed up 2 hours before check-in and were able to use the pools, which were very crowded. The kids did not mind, though. The room was supposed to be ready at 4:00, but was not ready until almost 5:00, which made for a not so smooth entry on our first day. The room was beautiful with very nice details. One of the nicest rooms I have stayed in. We were very happy until we went to bed that night... The king size bed was like a crater. My wife and I were falling into each other and could not sleep at all. I went down to the desk around 4:00am and complained about the issue... The manager came in the next morning and offered to move us to a "luxury" room that he had put on hold for us. He showed me the room and also offered to refund half our first night to us. We moved into the room and it was amazing! High ceilings, full/large kitchen, living area with 3 couches...just stunning. Very pleased with the room and the offer to switch. We enjoyed the rest of our stay. The resort is beautiful, but spread out...so some walking is required. Upon checkout we were told what the extra FEES were. . . $150 in FEES for 3 nights. This was unexpected and put sort of a bad feeling on leaving. I am not sure I would book the same way for something like this again...bacause a 12% fee upon checkout seems ridiculous. I would not have booked had I known this...

We live in st. Augustine and didnt have much time for a get away this this time of year. So we figured we would try hammock beach resort out, because it's only about 20 min away. We get here and completely forget we are so close to home! It really made us feel like we were in the Caribbean or something. Great job guys! Keep it up.

Hotel is off the beaten path, located back in a resort community. You need to pay toll to get to the location I think it was $2.00. Valet was very friendly. Concierges were friendly and helpful. Room was extremely spacious and had all the amenities you would need. Could the room do with some updating, absolutely, but it was not unbearable by any means. The view was lovely. Pools were nice and heated during the cooler front we had. Nice spacious hot tub. Plenty of amenities to keep you busy, we didn't get to take advantage of, but I could see the potential for a family getaway. We ate at The Italian restaurant on site for dinner. It was pretty good. One thing I would not suggest is the breakfast room service option, It was heavily saturated in butter, potatoes were not good, my husband had the pancakes he didn't finish them, grits were meh, the breakfast was very underwhelming and cost us $50.00. Also I found a slimy paper towel in coffee maker when I went to make coffee so that was a major turn off, I passed on coffee. Also we were charged a resort fee for booking through this site of $17.10 each night. Over all though it was decent, staff was super friendly, view was great, spacious room. I would definitely stay again I just probably would not eat there.

The entrance & amenities are pretty luxurious and fancy. The one bedroom however was pretty basic. Old loud AC, old and tiny kitchenette & appliances, loud noises from the plumbing. There were no drinks in the kitchen, no vending machines I could find anywhere close-by. Comfortable enough bed, but again the TV and remote were old and hardly worked.

Will return and plan for an extra day or two to take advantage of the amenities and location.
