The resort is beautiful. The king suite is very spacious with a nice view. Staff is friendly. However, I found our 4th of July vacation more stressful than relaxing. It was impossible to get a chair at any of the pools or at the beach. At the pool I asked where we were supposed to put our stuff. I was told that people who don’t get a chair usually sit on the edge of the pool and hold their things. I found that to be a ridiculous solution. At the beach we had the same issue. We did not bring beach chairs or an umbrella because those things are included with the resort fee. I would gladly have paid a daily rental fee which would have most likely solved the issue. It seemed that people would claim more chairs then they actually were using. This was our first time at Hammock Beach. We knew the king suite would be perfect for our vacation with our to granddaughters. What we didn’t realize was the distance from the room to the elevator. We literally had the room that was the farthest which was a good walk. Housekeeping did not come to our room the first two days. The first day we called for towels (we only had a set for three even though we had four people) the second afternoon we called to see if we needed to request housekeeping and were told no. They sent them. It was late afternoon when we called so it was obviously a rushed job. The last day housekeeping came and did a great job. For the price of our mini vacation, I was not satisfied with our stay.

I was happy with everything, i wish they would keep the bike rental open longer !

The location is beautiful and well-maintained. The hotel is luxurious and enjoyable!

There were no hidden fees. Hour bike rental per day included for the entire family. Beach chairs and umbrella included at no extra charge and you could chose to park your car so you did not have the added valet parking expense. Very nice resort and setting!!

The place is run down for the price. Rooms look like from 1960. Staff refused to serve us at the pool for our FIRST drink of our vacation because they were trying to close early. They were very rude to my wife. We were treated poorly because our bracelet said “guest” while people who own condos there have bracelets that say “member”. The members receive the attention. I’d avoid this place at all costs. I get better service at normal Marriot hotels vs this place, and I travel 40 nights+ a year. The place is about 5 decades passed its prime.

It's a large property and there were parts under construction so it took a bit of walking to get around, but it's also a beautiful property. What made our experience though is the staff, who went above and beyond to always make us - and our kids - feel welcomed! The kids crew stand out in this regard, but everyone from restaurant staff (Atlantic Grille, Delfino's and Loggerhead) to front desk staff to house cleaning did an excellent job representing Hammock Beach Resort. We'll be back for sure.

This resort is amazing! Location great! Comfortable for sure! We brought some teens and took them to cool fishing spots near the resort which was great for everyone! Drink prices are quite high but with full kitchen and Publix down the road we were able to stock up the fridge and enjoy amenities. The gym rocks!! We will be back for sure!!

Excellent stay! Family friendly! I stay at a lot of Hotel and Resorts and this one I will come back to. Probably one of the best facilities I have ever stayed at.

We just returned from Hammock and had an amazing time and experience there. I was at first weary because of the negative reviews I've read, but our experience has not been the same at all. We arrived at 3:30pm and our room was already ready. All staff were extremely nice and helpful. The room was spectacular. We stayed at the south tower 3rd floor. It was a very clean 3bd apartment with 4 bathrooms, huge balcony with ocean views and a big kitchen. We had room service daily. I have to say the only downside was the water smelled a bit rusty in the master shower, but other than that everything was top notch. The main elevator in the south building needs a tile replacement, but other than that the entire facility was super clean. We did get lost a couple of times on the first day, so may I suggest to management coming up with an app where guests can navigate how to walk from the buildings to pool, beach, restaurants... the resort is BIG so it is a bit tricky to get around on the first day. The pools were excellent, my kids enjoyed the lazy river and the slide. The mini golf and bike rental was a nice activity (included with your stay). The beach is very clean, but we had a lot of waves. The horse ride along the shore was a bonus! The Marineland is just 10 min away so we got to swim with the dolphins too! I suggest you visit that if you're vacationing with kids. Overall an amazing experience and we will definitely be back!

This is a great place for families. There are so many pools for the kids. The beach is a quick 2 min walk from the hotel. There is a lot of chairs on the beach. We stayed in the villas and our room was amazing and very clean. My only complaint is everything shuts down around 8. I wish there were a few more things that stayed open later. Our family had so much. There are activities for the kids. Some are pricey but others are reasonable.

We were looking forward to are stay at the Hammock Resort for our anniversary. Overall we were disappointed. Upon arrival we had to stand in line to check in to our room which wasn't ready yet. We had to wait in the lobby for 45 minutes, which felt like being at an airport waiting to board. An hour after check in time, we were finally in our room. The room was clean, besides a beer bottle left on the balcony, but not as friendly as I expected it to be. It was dark inside, do to the dark furniture and dim lighting. I didn't care for all the decorative pillows and heavy comforter on the bed, since those are not washed after every guest. The main reason for me booking the resort where the pools, in particular the adult only pool. The first thing we see is a woman with a baby in the water. We walked around the pool only to discover several more children of various ages hanging around the pool. I was upset and disappointed. We left to go to the beach. For me Hammock Beach Resort, a four star Resort, over promised and under delivered.

The Hammock Beach Resort was a nice hotel; however, the rooms were somewhat disappointing. We stayed in a 3-bedroom ocean view suite. One of the bedrooms had extremely uncomfortable twin beds. The beds had a huge dip in the middle from wear and tear which made it very difficult to sleep in. Unfortunately, there wasn’t anything the hotel staff could do to resolve this issue when contacted. Also, the vertical blinds in one of the rooms were completely damaged and broken.

big issue.....a condo owner had no concern for hotel stay guests and felt it was OK to set up a fence to contain their small dog on their balcony. They left the dog there unattended for the afternoon. It bark constantly as it saw guests outside. being two floors above them, our stay was spoiled and a refund is appropriate. This issue was presented to the front desk, and I was simply told it’s a condo owner issue......That’s no consolation, particularly for the investment we made.

Nice resort with something for everybody. I was worried about taking my one year old but the place was very family friendly. Would highly recommend.

Thank you for sharing feedback on your recent stay at Hammock Beach Resort. We apologize for the shortfalls you and your family experienced. We always strive to ensure our guests enjoy our amenities and feel relaxed. Due to the 4th of July Holiday, we experienced a significant increase in the usage of the pool and beach chairs and umbrellas, due to a 100% occupancy and apologize that there weren't enough of these for every guest to enjoy. Related to your housekeeping issues, your comments have been shared with that department. While we know that we cannot reverse your experience, we hope to have a future opportunity to make your stay more memorable. Please feel free to reach out to our Front Desk Manager or Executive Assistant at your convenience, if you would like to discuss your stay further.
