Hotel is very convenient and the staff is friendly and helpful. I would stay anytime I am in Martinez.

We stayed 3 night at this hotel. They have a nice breakfast buffet. Our room has a kitchen, I didn’t expected that. Room was big. Clean ness was ok.

Over all the hotel and room were nice and clean. Breakfast was good with something for everyone. Hotel staff was rude and not very friendly overall

Hotel was ok for the price it is older but some what up dated . Unfortunately I was charged for two rooms instead of just one . When I booked them online I reserved two when I showed up to the hotel to check in I told front desk one from was reserved for my mother inlaw and she would be paying for it her self they told me not a problem . We checked in together they charged my card and then charged my mother in laws card but charged me for both so they got paid for three rooms And have not corrected it .

The stay was nice The women at the front desk was very nice and helpful

Sheets were not changed, washed after previous uses.

Air conditioner was not working too great but great room, bed, t.v., staff and fabulous breakfast!

Staff not knowledgeable about surrounding area nor were they very friendly. Bed to soft for my comfort. Room was neat and cleanliness was fine but the over all feeling of the motel was that it was a bit worn.

Hotel charged me full price for the stay even though I had prepaid through Orbitz. Registration staff was apathetic at best. Hotel provides breakfast which we tried, but it was LOUSY!

Paid for our stay on Orbitz and was charged again by the hotel staff. Working with CITI, Orbitz and attempting to work with the hotel to get the double charge cleared up. Have already spent 2 hours working on this mistake. Told the apathetic, unimpressive hotel clerk we reserved through Orbitz when we arrived. Found out they charged us full price for the room on the credit card used for "incidentals" (of which there are none!) when we arrived home. Hotel keeps telling myself and Orbitz the charge of $127 is for incidentals. Hah!! Breakfast is included (it's lousy, too) and there is no gift shop or restaurant on property. Not sure we could have spent $10 on incidentals. Never even watched the TV. Lousy place. Do NOT stay here.

I was up from southern California and in town for work. Hotel was well priced, staff was awesome, location made driving back out to make my flight home easy. Would defintely stay there again. Hotel is much nicer than the star ratings on travel sites indicate.

The staff and everything else was pretty ok. The biggest problem was taking a shower, the temperature varied quite a lot during a shower. Each time another guest turned on water mine would become too hot or too cold. Very frustrating. The Continental breakfast was very nice but also somewhat limited. I stayed at a Best Western in California City and the amenities were absolutely great. I would have to consider whether I would stay at that particular Best Western again.

First the bad part. The 2nd floor smells like smoke. We were put into a room there and the room was worse than the hall. We requested a change which was happily accommodated. The 3rd floor hall and our room both smelled completely clean. They may be trying to transition the 2nd floor to non-smoking, but it takes more that signage. Nice bed, nice shower, flat screen TV. Very nice breakfast. Make your own waffles, those little premade omelettes, bacon, fluffy biscuits and sausage gravy, all with a good supporting cast. There may be a rotation, but we were there two mornings and it was the same. The swimming pool is not as big as the photographer made it look, but it looked clean and nice.

Great motel. Just wish it was all non smoking. Very clean

Excellent. I had a handicap room that was very accommodating. Floor of shower needs slip-proof pads added.

There aren't many nice hotels near my daughter's. My husband and I have stayed at John Muir Inn several times and like to stay there. it is an older hotel but has been kept up very well. The staff is great and the rooms are comfortable. We can get a light breakfast down in the breakfast room in the morning. There are restaurants and a grocery store right across the street.

Reserved non-smoking got smoking rm. Only one ice machine out of 4 worked in hotel. Door lock was very difficult to get to unlock door. Parking was very limited. Room was very noisy from guests above us. Bathtub faucet leaked all the time. TV remote did not work. Breakfast was marginal at best.

Prepaid for 2 rooms. First 2 rooms smelled like weed. Second set of rooms I walked in on a coue having sex. Third set of rooms were not clean, had bug bomb cans and someone's clothes on chair. People smoking weed in hall and people in lobby drinking beer with foul mouths. 10pm had to get another hotel, go to get car and the car next to us had a busted window, glass all over the place. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Given the prices of Bay Area accommodations, this was a deal, it wasn't too far to drive and as hotels go, it met all of the necessary requirements.
