Sheraton Columbia Downtown Hotel

The hotel was not run well at all. They were out of everything or it was terrible.

The hotel is very nice, but the staff was (with one exception) average at best. Hotel bar was out of food for half their small bites menu, dog was allowed to sit at the bar with patrons. Hotel room was nice, but as I went to bed I stepped into a very wet spot beside the bed...don't know what it was, don't want to know. Free breakfast was nowhere to be found. Parking valet didn't seem to care. Combination of many small things just didn't fit with the facility and the expectation.

The hotel is quite beautiful and my room was very nice. Super clean and comfortable. Most staff was nice but my waitress in one of the restaurant was quite sharp. It took her a while to tell me they were out of something I ordered. At that point I was running a little late and couldn't wait to order something else as I saw she was slow with other things. Maybe it's a southern thing as I am a typical impatient Northerner. It was also a little confusing getting to some of the restaurants in the building. The hotel is in a pretty ok location unless you're looking to do any shopping. I would recommend staying as it really did get the job done and was very comfortable.

They were supposed to credit my bill but never did. I ordered early breakfast for my son and me before leaving for a sports camp for him. Our order was never processed so we did not get our food. Our TV did not work, it would not tune in channels. Our bathroom has mildew on the sink behind the faucet which had been there for a long time. Loud guests were slamming doors late into the night keeping us awake. I did not ask for our rooms to be free. They offered this gesture and I accepted. My credit card was never credited. I would avoid staying here again. Poor service was evident cross departmentally which speak to how the hotel is managed.

The building was an old bank I believe complete with a vault bar. Super nice bar on the roof made for a great evening talking.

Upon arrival around 8pm the lobby was nearly full with guests having room problems. It didnt get any better for me or others behind me. Upon checking in my room was not the room I booked. I returned to the front desk and was informed that management had made changes and not upgraded their website. No pullouts in the hotel for any room including suites. The hotel had over-booked certain types of rooms including what they refer to as a suite. The lady behind me was in tears as her suite only had a king and she had requested a two doubles for her parents, her and her husband and planned to use a pullout for her children. Even though the hotel was over booked the hotel wanted me to pay a full night to immediately checkout and free up a room for their errors. After around an hour with every guest returning to complain, they allowed me to checkout and are supposed to refund my fee entirely. Very evasive about any statement - written or otherwise - in reference to the full refund. I absolutely do not recommend anyone booking. Waiting on the refund.

Recommended hotel, quiet, clean, the people is very friendly, 100 recommended.

Great Hotel, The people is very friendly, they help me with a room that has smoke they change to a more good room.

What a deal. Comfy, corner of Main Street location is super, and roof top lounge - Holy Cow!

This hotel is awesome...it has a very historic feel and is so close to everything. I love coming to this hotel every year for graduation. The service is amazing, the staff is so friendly and the rooms are so cool...historic with a modern twist. The bathrooms are large and modern complete with a TV. The rooftop bar is the best view in all of columbia.

The staff was attentive, rooms were nice! The hotel is pet friendly which is good for pet owners. However, I did have a dog in the room next door who began barking when his owner left for about 20 minutes before settling down. The hotel is in a convenient location for seeing downtown! The rooftop view in the bar was an added bonus! Overall, met my expectations.

Yes hotel was nice. Easy parking and close to everything. I would recommend it.

Great location, walking distance to all the great restaraunts and bars on and around main!

This hotel is located in the center of Downtown within easy walk of Main St and Vista restaurants and businesses. The downstairs and roof bars are a great amenity. The only downside is that they don't have any parking onsite, so if you're driving, you may have to wait for the valet on the way in and out. It's a tolerable process.

not a bad place to stay considering the price. A little noisy though outside! But clean and comfortable.

The stay was amazing. The rooms was very warm and welcoming. The hotel is in a great location if you want to take advantage of Columbia nightlife. The room view to downtown Columbia was a bonus.

I went to Columbia for a conference. Staying at Sheraton Downtown Hotel was very convenient. It's location is ideal. The staff were friendly. The room was nice and clean.

Very charming ,great location and loved the room...the character. Bedding was heavenly!! The only downfall was being able to hear people outside our door very easily.

My husband and I came to town for a game and decided to stay downtown! This hotel looked great on-line and knew it was in a good location! The hotel room was great! Doesnt look like a standard room! Great views and even has a roof top bar! Staff was super friendly as well! Thanks for a great stay!
