Great find in Cloudcroft, NM

Comfortably and excellent for our multi-generational family due to upstairs bedroom and walkout basement bedroom. Eclectic decor and furnishings were comfortable and fun. Well appointed and easy to check in and check out. This is a condo unit and parking was very convenient and adequate.

Fantastically eclectic place!

You would never know it from the outside, but this place is so fantastically eclectic on the inside. The only way I can describe it is Spanish galleon meets medieval castle. My only suggestion would be to bring your own pillows as the ones provided are terrible. But besides that one little thing, I would definitely stay here again and will recommend it to anyone staying in Cloudcroft.

Interesting Place

We knew it was an eclectically decorated property and that was definitely true! But we pay a little more for a VRBO to enjoy the COMFORT of a home-like setting. This condo was lacking in those comforts. The kitchen was poorly appointed for cooking and the quality of what utensils and bowls and pans was poor.Other VRBO properties we’ve enjoyed provided lists of local places to visit or restaurants, and some small amenities. Here the only amenity was a big can of Kirkland coffee. No welcome notes or instructions on how to use anything (not everyone knows how radiant heaters work!).No bath accessories, no tissue. One bath towel and one washcloth for each of us for two nights and these were haphazardly tossed in a bathroom cabinet.One of the downstairs space heaters was not working. The upstairs bath had a single functional towel hook.Lack of window coverings or only sheers that don’t cover the windows was disconcerting and we struggled with light intrusion in the upstairs bedroom. While we enjoyed the art and furniture crammed into every nook and cranny here, we really didn’t find it to be a comfortable place at all and would not stay here again. .

Wonderful property in quiet area

Eclectic condo in a quiet area. Wife and I rented it for a quick day trip to white sands. Condo has just the basics for the kitchen but we mostly ate out in town. We were pretty pleased with the accomodations.

Cloudcroft Fun!

We loved it! Very clean and so fun! Great location, easy to find and check in was fast and the host was easily available ! Definitely the best stay we have ever had in Cloudcroft! We would definately recommend this and we’ll be back soon 😁

We had a great time in Cloudcroft. This rental was perfect for us. Three adults, had plenty of room. Great views. We saw Elk, deer and horses. Perfect location to town!

Fabulous stay

Awesome house! Every time we walked around we would find some kind of detail on the furniture, etc that we hadn’t seen before! Loved the 20-30 hummingbirds on the neighbors balcony and the wild horses on the golf course in the early hours. Be sure to visit Brother in Law BBQ. Steve serves up some great meat!

Very unique property. Great location, quiet. Needs a new mattress in the downstairs bedroom. Also, room darkening curtains in the upstairs bedroom would make it more comfortable. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

Quiet Getaway

First of all, the design, decoration, and furnishing of this 3 level condo is unique and eclectic with heavy clay/stone tile throughout, bright, colorful ceramic tile on the ceiling, a variety of art, hand forged iron works in the kitchen, and many areas with chairs, tables, benches, and surfaces to read, sit, be creative. Natural light bathes the top 2 levels with windows and skylights letting light in. A deck on the 2nd level facing east and south was perfect for sitting outside in the shade of beautiful aspens, pines, and spruce trees. This condo backs up to a golf course but the trees provide a nice barrier. We watched elk and deer on the course in nearly as many numbers as golfers. This place is neat, clean and quiet and only 5 minutes from Cloudcroft. We loved our stay. My only complaint is there was no wine bottle opener stocked in the kitchen.

We enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect, especially to see the wildlife in the evening around the golf course. We sat on patio each evening and saw wild horses, elk and mule deer! There are stairs either up or down to bedrooms, so you get in shape while there. Evenings are cool, so the upstairs bedroom cooled off ok at night. When we stay again at this time of year, we will stay in lower bedroom…, much cooler. We enjoyed our Cloudcroft vacation and will return! Thanks for a nice stay.

Pleasant stay.

We had a fun time with this over the top decorated condo. Everything was clean and we had access to what we needed. Our only concern is that we had not read description well enough to see that there is no main floor bedroom. Both bedrooms are accessed only by staircase. Thankfully we had the chair lift since our senior knees would have complained about the stairs.

Better details would be helpful

The property is clean and large. However, we had a problem trying to figure out how the heat works. It was freezing for about the first 5 hours that we were there, and then once it did get warm, it was stifling at times. We would have appreciated a typed out "how to" of how the heating turned on and off. Most VRBOs we have stayed before have a instruction sheet with certain things on it like Wifi, suggestions for the area, and definitely instructions on how to manage the thermostat. (if needed) It was so uncomfortable that first day we got there and that kind of put a damper on things. Having wood available is a nice touch, but if it sits outside uncovered, it's practically useless when it's wet. The way the condo is decorated might not be to everyone's taste, but that's not really a reason not to recommend a place. Instructions needed to have been available, especially when people go to Cloudcroft so often in the winter.
