We recently stayed here with our extended family (four adult couples and our kids) and overall had a lovely time. The home is beautiful, and the main living areas — especially the kitchen and deck — were perfect for gathering. Each couple having a private king bedroom was a huge plus.There were a few issues that kept this from being five stars. In the kids’ game room, the listing noted two large beds with twin trundles underneath, but there was only one large bed and two trundles. Because of this, one of our daughters had to sleep on the couch.Cleanliness of some bedding was also a concern. I understand that some rentals may not launder heavier quilts or coverlets between every stay, but these were visibly dirty and should be cleaned between guests. The trundle mattress protectors had yellow stains and crushed ladybugs embedded in one of them. One bedroom had a stained throw pillow, and the beds in the second game room (with the pool table) did not appear freshly laundered.A few kitchen items could use updating — the toaster only worked fully on one side, and the hand mixer was missing a whisk — which made baking a bit more difficult.Despite these issues, we truly enjoyed our stay and created wonderful memories. We would consider returning if the bedding and sleeping arrangements were addressed.
