There was some Miscommunication between staff members. One person said I could have a late check out when I asked a day before leaving. And on the day I asked if I could have an extra 1/2 hour more and was told no. That was ok. But then 10 minutes before my check out and I’m in the room organizing everything a lady came in and very sternly and rudely said I did not have a late check out and to get my things and leave. Well I was planning on that so no problem… but was left feeling really awkward and rushed. When I came out she apologized because she spoke to the other lady who confirmed what I had said… so why didn’t she do that first?? It’s fine But I left feeling kinda disappointed. Hope to stay here again because although it’s bare bones, it’s safe, and I loved where it is on the beach!! Must come back again!!
A little tucked out the way but in between 500 dollar a night places. The room is a nice size for sleeping and keeping a few items. The porch balcony looks small in pictures but is huge. The property faces away from the busier beaches. So it’s not as loud. There is a beach club right next door so some of the music does come over a bit.
The most beautiful beach Playa Norte is right in the front of the hotel. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Our room was 31, and we could feel sands with our bare feet as soon as we got in. The water pressure of the shower and toilet was extremely weak, almost unflushable. The room was really basic, no fridge, no hair dryer, no iron, no coffee maker. There was a safe but could not fit my iPad air 2 in, money and passports were ok. Wifi was available in the reception area, not in our room. The creepy part, when night came, it felt like we were the only family in the entire quite area. December was a low season anyway. My daughter and I went to the common kitchen area to get hot water. She went to the dispenser and immediately ran away. "Dad, look at that creepy picture, it's looking at me, and the dark room inside." They hung a creepy picture of a girl starring at you right on top of the water dispenser that scared my daughter, so hilarious. When we walked back to our room, we could hear baby crying sound somewhere in the hotel. Overall, it's a nice basic and close to nature hotel.
Overall a pleasant stay. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Amenities were of a lower end villa, but very clean and just steps away from the beach.

It is an older property and very basic : perfect for the experience we had in mind BEST ever view from our room and right on the beach !

the property had great location to be near all things. walking was simple and easy. to sit on the beach in the evening was superb and so relaxing. the staff was very accommodating. I will be booking there again.

The location of this Hotel and the lush tropical grounds cannot be beat. The beds are also comfortable. Otherwise it is totally no frills. It is relatively clean,but rather old. It was our second stay. On our previous stay we had a "Mayan" room which was much larger and seemed cleaner and in better repair. Staff was responsive, but not terribly friendly.
Check-in was quick, although they ran our card for a refundable deposit and we weren't expecting that after prepaying with Orbitz.
One of my most relax vacations,hotel is right on the beach so when you sleep all you hear is the sound of the ocean waves ,it's just a perfect spot :)
This hotel is clean comfortable and has a laid back island flavor its right on the beach and within walking distance of anything you need.
great place for the $$, close to town and all you need but far enough away for peace and quiet! beautiful quiet sleep every night! right on the lagoons - too bad the gates are all locked up and you have to traipse through the lobby to get there but lovely setting. on the windier side but worth being out of the tourist "Frey" ... would go back for sure!
The air conditioning didn't work. There was no hot water nor water pressure to shower. The room was fairly clean but walls and ceiling were cracked. No water or beverages in the refrigerator. We didn't even have wash cloths.
