I want to mention that from the get-go this reservation did not go well. They charged more than the VRBO “no hidden-fees”, by putting an additional hold on my credit card of 800 for a damage waiver, which I have NEVER had a VRBO rental do. They sent (to my personal email) additional paperwork to be completed and required a copyof my government issued ID, from their Boston rental company. They then used my personal mobile number and email to contact me repeatedly and unnecessarily, without my approval, which I have never had a VRBO do. They continued to try to circumvent the VRBO messaging throughout my stay, even when requested to not do so several times. They did not provide the check-in information as per the VRBO site’s rule, of 3 days before, instead sending it less than a day before my check in and only then when I requested it. They provided me inaccurate check-in information, such as stating the WiFi code would be on the cable box when there is no television or cable box in the rental unit and then took a day to provide me the WiFi log-in information. They did not provide directions to the rental unit, only an address. Since mobile and GPS reception in this area is little to none; one can’t rely on such a method to arrive. There are no house # or markers for this property on the dirt road it is down and it can’t be seen from the road. There were torn linens on the bed, broken window panes, electrical tape covering holes on the floor, thermostat hanging by wires…
