A one night stay before embarking on a river cruise. The hotel's facilities were way ahead of our expectations, particularly the pool. Found the staff to be most accommodating. Missed out on five stars only because it was a little too far from the 'action' and we should have booked accommodation closer to the river boat mooring station. Found the wi-fi to be slow.
Stayed just one night but found the staff to be friendly and attentive and the facilities were very much up to expectations. Room was spacious and inviting. Pool was more than I expected but only opening at 7am was late for someone who likes to get up early.
Spent a week in a large 2 bedroom apartment. The place is up-to-date, well maintained and the apartment had 2 bathrooms, washing maching, dish washer, tumble dryer and a decent kitchen. The staff was very helpfull and spoke fine English. The pool was appr. 20 m long, there was a small jacuzzi, training centre, sauna and steam bath as well. The pool area was not super children friendly but usable for our kids (10, 7 and 6 years old). The location is 3 out 5, walking distance (about 700m) from metro, department stores and outskirts of "downtown" Only drawback of the hotel is the mediocre breakfast, it is ok, but nothing spectacular. The room service is delivered from the nearby local bistro Kanaan, highly recommende.
This is a perfect apartment hotel for families. We stayed in apartment # 41, which overlooked the ourtyard and was very quiet. The furniture was kid-safe and was everythig that the hotel website promised. The kitchennette was fully functional and we used it to prepare breakfast as well as some food for our 1 year old. The Aldi supermarket is just a block away and has almost everything you may need as a traveller (including baby diapers and formula milk). The Westend Mall is less than 1 km away and has all kind of eating and shopping options. The tourist attracions are also not far away. 10-15 taxi ride took us to all the tourist spots - I believe there are also public transport options (which we did not end up taking). The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The only issue we had durig our trip was when we rented a car for a day based on hotel recommendation. The car rental company Avalon was not known to us and we booked only because hotel recommended it and they were able to drop the car to hotel. However, the child seats in the car were not fixed and there was no instructions on how to fix them. The hotel staff tried their best t help us but car rental was company was not very helpful. Basically, I would advise not to rent car from Avalon. Otherwise, our stay was very comfortable.
I spent 2 weeks in a 2 bedroom apartment at Adina with my wife who was there for work and our 2 year old daughter. I found it ideal for long and medium stays where one would have access to the facilities of a hotel and at the same time be able to have the comfort of a private home. The apartment consisted of 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living/dining room and small fully equipped kitchen containing a stove, fridge, dishwasher and eating & cooking utensils. in one of the bathrooms had a separate section contained a washing machine. All the equipment and furniture were of good quality and in good working order. The apartment was cleaned thoroughly three times a week and every day the cleaning staff would make the beds, do the dishes and empty the garbage. If we had any extra need the staff were always ready to accommodate our requests. All were very nice, courteous and eager to help with directions or other information. They were especially nice to our daughter and on her birthday they gave her a small present. The hotel is located on a quiet street, about 10min walk to the town center and the West end shopping mall, 15min walk to Margit island and there are some restaurants and shops close by. it has an indoor pool as well as a well equipped gym. We didn't try the food so i cannot comment about that. All in all a very pleasant experience and thanks to a big extent to the nice staff of the hotel, We will surely consider Adina for a future visit to Budapest.
We have travelled all over the world and this is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. It is superb. Arrived by train from Munich and was greeted by excellent staff - it does make all the difference when you are tired!! The hotel can be reached by metro from the railway station (Lehel Ter - and then a 400 metre walk via exit C on the left) for around £1, and saves usuing taxis. The rooms are massive, with every mod con you could ask for - washer, dishwasher, cooker and microwave, and all newly installed. A small balcony overlooked the road beside Aldi, and it was great fun sitting in the sun watching the Hungarians fight over parking spaces when going shopping. The breakfast were excellent, and there is a small bar in which you can have food, or have it sent to your room. There is a large swimming pool, a fitness room and extensive gardens with chairs and sun beds. A great place to relax after a hard day in the city. The hotel is about a 40 minutes walk from the bridge to the castle area if you walk, passing the Parliament buidings along the banks of the Dona. The metro is there if you need it. If ever we return to Budapest we would only stay in this hotel as it is fabulous value for money, especially when there is an Aldi opposite to buy cheap beer and wine!! Oh and food!!
Thanks to all of the staff at the Adina for making our stay so enjoyable. The apartment was maintained to a high standard and everbody working there was especially helpful. Good facilities with a decent size pool and gym. Breakfast is pretty basic, wouldn't bother with it as there is an Aldi supermarket around the corner. Good location - about 5 minutes walk to Lehal Ter metro and a couple of buses stop nearby too. Certainly a good choice, would definitely stay here again.
Based in a quiet area with easy access to all sights, either on foot or by metro. The apartments are spacious with all the facilities you need and spotlessly clean.Staff on reception are exceptional, nothing is too much trouble.Has an added bonus of large indoor swimming pool and we'll equipped gym.A good choice of restaurants with in easy access and a lovely market minutes away if you perfect to cater for your self.
This was a great place to base myself for my five days in Budapest. The room was really comfortable for relaxing after a day exploring. There was a kitchenette which was good for light meals. I used it for breakfast but there is a breakfast option at the hotel at extra costs. Aldi is just nearby for croissant, yoghurt and fruit, if you want to save some money. The metro is about 5 minute walk away so it's easy to get where you want to go. I used the laundry (byo detergent from Aldi) which was really handy for mid trip washing. There didn't look to be many dinner options within the immediate vicinity of the hotel but an abundant 3 metro stops away (Deak Ter). I would recommend this place to stay if you have a few days. If you only have 1-3 days, you might want to be based in the thick of it.
We chose this hotel as we have previously stayed at the Adina in Berlin and was impressed by that hotel. The hotel is situated in a quiet residential area around 5 minutes’ walk from the River and Margaret Island. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment that had a separate living area, kitchen, a bedroom, bathroom and a separate toilet. The kitchen was fully equipped (even a dishwasher) if you want to cook and eat in the apartment. The bathroom also had a washing machine. The staff were efficient, polite and helpful on the reception and breakfast room. The breakfast had a good choice of hot, cold dishes and drinks. Drinks are also available in the reception area all day. The hotel has a swimming pool, gym & garden. There is an Aldi store just around the corner which is very convenient. If we visit Budapest again (most likely as we enjoyed the city) we will stay at the Adina.
