It was artistic, beautiful and fascinating as well as full of the wonders of the prairie and the Montana night sky

it's quite a unique experience. This lodging place is more like a luxury campground. Quite scenic and quite. However, there is no shower in the room, and at night I am afraid of wild animals or dogs -- although the host said there is rarely any wild animals to concern about.

Very unique old fashion nice place. The only thing what I’d add it’s heater/fire place in the tipi otherwise it’s excelent!

Don’t believe the prior reviews. There is not a bed in tipi. It will fill with smoke to a dangerous level if you light fire inside tipi to stay warm. The community “pit” is really a couple trash cans and picnic table. Fires are not allowed outside and there are no story times or tours. There is zero food within miles and property managers do not provide breakfast. The bathrooms are clean, but with 5-6 dogs roaming the property they like the warmth of the bathroom more than you, and are willing to prove it. Zero activities on or near property. Browning is down the road, but other than a smoke filled casino, it is too dangerous to hang out. The locals want nothing to do with tourist. Your best bet is to stay near one of the Glacier parks. Avoid this site and Browning area in general. I was seeking history and found crime.

Canvas tipis arranged and oriented probably similar to traditional layout. No floor to accommodate central fire pit. Wood supplied and instructions on maintaining a safe fire...this was really a neat experience. Lots of dogs running through the tipi area at night. It could be that they are there to maybe keep wandering bears from bothering the tipi village? However, their bursts of barking and yapping frequently interrupted sleep at night. (Probably part of the native experience?) Two sounds of civilization on the plains include the train line to the south, but it is a low pitch and no whistles. The gravel pit operation just behind the hill to the west is a louder, much more intrusive sound by machines moving small rocks, and that starts ~a little after sunrise.

Absolutely heavenly and also affordable. Wish we could have stayed more than one night. The staff was super-friendly, and the experience of sleeping in a tipi next to a fire was one I'll always remember.

An interesting experience-I was surprised that Orbitz claimed there were 4 single beds, but instead there was bare grass, with space for 4 sleeping bags, available at extra cost. The proprietors pointed out that Orbitz continues to mislead people in this regard. Orbitz NEEDS TO FIX THEIR DESCRIPTION.

Watch the sun set on the prairie! See the sunrise. Meet your neighbors(guests) from all over as you visit while watching the sunset. Sleep on mats/sleeping bags on the ground next to a campfire. Listen to the raindrops during the night on the tipi. The bathroom facilities were nice(a short hike from tipis). Also indoor common areas and a covered back porch were available for guests to relax, eat, etc. The host is a talented artist and very congenial. His wife/hostess is very helpful. They gave us suggestions for finding a nice dinner nearby. They are located near Two Medicine/Glacier Lodge and also St. Mary's area. The drive to Two Medicine was incredible with photo overlooks, the lodge breathtaking, and nice restaurants surrounding. When we left the tipi lodge there were three native men riding bareback on beautiful horses across the prairie. What a visual memory! I wasn't too sure about how this romantic booking would play out in reality but it was a great experience. Be sure to take bedding/mats etc or ask for them when you book and they will be all set up for you in your tipi. I don't think bedding is included in the booking price. You will have to hike a short distance downhill to your tipi but that is certainly better than everyone parking down around the tipis. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

Darrell was great! Bad thing about my stay is a ton of women happened to be booked, 2 showers and 2 toilets weren't enough. Next day I was out of my room and despite having told owner I was going to check out gallery... she curtly asked why was I still there. Odd.

Beautiful setting chance to meet interesting travelers cold night but unique chance to try something different

thank you for your positive review. Our tipis have a fire-pit in the middle and liner-walls for extra air flow.

Every hotel, motel or campground has a check out time. Its usually 11 AM or 12 PM. There is nothing odd about it, but its common business practice in the hospitality industry.
