Great location

We really enjoyed our stay. Excellent beds. House was comfortable, homely and maintained to a high standard. Equipped with anything you’d need to self cater or stay longer than a week. The aircon worked well on the few chilly nights. Located in a quiet neighbourhood a short stroll from the water with beautiful bird life in and around the yard. Host Michaela was friendly, thoughtful and helpfully provided information about the island. We would happily stay again.

Simply Devine

Cute, clean tidy with all modern amenities for an older cottage. Close 2 minute walk to beach, wild life amazing and surprisingly friendly. Neighbours are very nice and all residents are very friendly and make you very welcome to their island. Bowls club has awesome lunches with free pick u and drop off curtesy bus. Simply Devine

Awesome Property

Stayed in school holidays, property was Awesome. Had everything to make your stay comfortable, close to water and convenient to places of interest. Only thing to mention was the master bedroom was too bright to sleep in . But overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay 👍🤗

Kookaburra delight

Beautiful home situated on a very friendly and clean island. The home is spotless and absolutely stunning inside and out. The kookaburras are welcoming, the other native birds pop in to say hello too! A delightful home, beautiful host, amazing people who made me and my friend feel very welcome :)

Awesome stay.

Property was lovely. Great location. Photos did not do it justice. We loved the peace and quiet. Wildlife and birdlife were awesome. Michaela was great. Kept us up to date with everything. She answered our messeges very quickly. We would definitely stay again.

Relaxing and comfortable stay

We had a lovely time at Kookaburra Cottage. The place is very cosy and offered everything we needed for relaxing weekend. Michaela is a wonderful host! She provided relevant guidance and useful tips to help us enjoy our time at Macleay Island. The sunset at the surrounding beaches is spectacular.

What a treasure of a place !!

What a treasure of a place, the location could not be more perfect for a peaceful getaway, and the accommodation is gorgeous, bed was comfy, beautiful to be so close to the beach and local cafes.

The property was lovely providing a very lovely stay.

Lovely spot lovely nature birds ect around tge house. The only thing that was missing was a radio to listen to music from the local station without listening to it through limited choices of the TV I would have enjoyed sitting out the back more comfortably with a couple of deck lounges and cover if it rained. It would have been nice to have a bbq. Last of all a small suggestion if you put the price up just a little it would cover unlimited wifi service. It was difficult to use ph as have limited data on ph plan and could not Bluetooth to TV. Otherwise beds comfy and supplies for kitchen great. A few egg cups would be great if you had a family stay.
