Beautiful Views & Bears

Gorgeous views off of the decks and out the huge windows. We had several occasions when bears walked by the house; absolutely amazing. The accommodations were perfect for our family and conveniently located near downtown Black Mountain restaurants, hiking in Montreat, and close enough to get into Asheville for. Couple excursions. Hope to be back!

Best view of mountains ever!

Peace and quiet, Mountain views!!! Nature all around! House was clean and comfortable. Great communication with host. Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent house in the trees!

Excellent house in the trees. The pictures don’t do it justice. Loved the mid century modern style. House was well appointed. Beds were very comfortable. We will definitely go back.

Wonderful house with amazing views

This house was everything they promised! It was beautiful and comfortable for our family of 5 adults. The kitchen was very well appointed. Everyone raved about how comfortable the beds were. We hope to be back again.

Wonderful view!!

The view is spectacular! The beds are very comfy. Bathrooms and kitchen are clean. Plenty of room to spread out if needed, but a large table and couch for togetherness. It’s a little challenging to find the first time, but easy after that. Convenient to all in Black Mountain and a short drive to Asheville.

Secluded yet convenient

I traveled with my two boys and a friend to take in some nature and hiking and this home was perfect! Spacious and well-appointed, we needed nothing. The deck and views were spectacular and the stars at night were amazing!

The house was perfect for our family. We were in town for a wedding and wished we could have stayed longer. Breathtaking views, comfortable beds, and kitchen was stocked with all the things you need for a big family. Would definitely stay there again.

Lovely Mountain Home

Beautiful property within easy driving distance of numerous hiking trails, downtown Asheville, Montreat. Eclectic and fun decor as well as gas fireplaces on two levels and decks overlooking the mountains.

A good value place to stay

A very convenient location. Great deck to view the scenery. Kitchen was excellent with very good appliances, including coffee grinder and new dishwasher. The age of the house was apparent in the creaking floor and musty smell. A/C wasn’t ideal, but certainly good enough. Well worth the rental price.

Wonderful Retreat

Perfect for our family stay in the mountains! Plenty of room for multiple families, we grilled, hiked and played board games at the table each night. The view of the mountains is incredible and a perfect sunset view every night! We would for sure stay again!!

Great Black Mountain hideaway

Our entire group enjoyed the stay. The property offers great views of the valley, a cozy living space and an adequate kitchen. The beds were comfortable, and the house has enough space to give everyone the room they need. We stayed with fours adults and three kids (7, 3, 1.5), and were more than satisfied with accommodations. We highly recommend and would stay again!

Hiking and Leaf-Gazing Trip

Four female friends traveled to this property for a hiking/leaf gazing trip. The mudroom at the entrance to the house is very useful. We loved having a bedroom each. There are plenty of towels and blankets. Bathrooms are very adequate. The kitchen is updated and a pleasure to use. The water filter on the kitchen faucet is a very nice feature. The living spaces are roomy and comfortable with gas fireplaces and views that were exactly what we wanted. The decks have the same great views with comfortable seating and provided us a perfect place to have cocktails and enjoy the sunsets. The location is close to multiple hiking trails and the quaint town of Black Mountain. Thank you for such a comfortable home for our trip. We had a great time and will tell all our friends about it. We highly recommend this house!

Comfortable and welcoming

We were so glad to find a 4 BR property, with 3 king beds too, at a very reasonable price. Add to this the gorgeous view from the upper and lower decks - seriously amazing and even better than the photos. Loved the mid-mod updates - great taste, comfortable, welcoming, and the updated kitchen had everything we needed. Appreciate the round dining table, which seats 8 - it’s annoying to have a dining table which doesn’t accommodate the max number of guests - not the case here. Location in Black Mountain was ideal - up at a higher elevation for the views and privacy but not too far from the main streets and was 20-25 easy min to downtown Asheville. Would rent again. Highly recommended!
