Nice place to stay

This hotel is proof that online ads can be misleading... My needs were simple. I was on a road trip and needed a late-night place to shower and crash. My expectations were only that it be clean, quiet, and safe. It was near the interstate and near several other hotels. The pics online looked ok, so I booked the room and made my way there. I arrived to what looked like a block party in the parking lot with cars blasting music. A small crowd was drinking and smoking pot right in front of the main entrance. I made my way in to the lobby to find the front desk closed. It took almost an hour of calling to finally contact someone to have a desk clerk check us in. The room was dirty and in severe disrepair. In hindsight I would have gladly paid a few extra dollars and stayed at one of the other nearby hotels.
I was checked in by a lovely young lady at 7pm for an overnight stay while visiting from NYC. My sons and I were in room 118. The room was very clean, beds comfy. Overall a good nights sleep. It was pouring raining the next morning as we waited for our ride to pick us up. Check out is at 11 am, at 10:45am an older, light skinned black lady knocked on the door asking if we were checking out. I said “yes we are” She said, “ok because she needs to get in and clean the room.” I said “ok” I then asked if they have late check-out, as we were only waiting for our ride to arrive and it’s pouring raining. She said, “no late check out. The room has to be cleaned.” I asked if there is a lobby we can sit in because I didn’t notice one when I checked in. She said “no lobby, you have to leave.” Now, I am from NYC where people are rude and dismissive, but never EVER hotel clerks! Our ride came immediately after, so my sons and I did not have to wait outside, in the rain. However, I find that lady’s behavior and dismissive attitude to be the WORSE type of service possible. This one incident turned an overall pleasant experience into one with a disappointing ending. I am sure the staff knows exactly who I am referring to, as people don’t become rude and dismissive overnight.
the bed was in bad conditions the breakfast food also
checked into the motel after 8pm.. proceeded to the room, notice a potato chip bag on the floor, also food (peas on the floor) the bathroom sink was broke, we immediately left to go to the store, we closed the door it would not latch or lock, tried about 5 times finally we had to pull the door hard to lock it. needless to say we left and went to find another place to stay, we came back after locating another motel and checked out, I had left a note for the front desk with the gentlemen that was there and a note that he signed documented my complaint, to call me the next day, I had to call them, they never tried to contact me, the manager said she was waiting on me to call her?????
