We actually went up to the room and it was very unsatisfactory. Linens very dirty and the whole facility was run down. We came back down to the front desk and made the person at the desk aware that we would not be staying there and the reason why. Unfortunately, the hotel nor Expedia would give us a refund! We drove around Birmingham and finally found a wonderful hotel. Will not be using Expedia in the future! Very disappointed in their response to the issues we experienced with this hotel and then refused to give us a refund.

When you first arrive you will notice from the parking lot that half the hotel is under construction. Check-in was friendly enough. However, when we got to our assigned hotel room the door was left wide open, no need for the key cards which was unusual. Carpet in the hotel rooms are not clean at all and the room had lots of different bugs since there is a massive gap at the bottom of the doorway to the hallway. For a one night stay I personally saw at least six different bugs. I was going to report it at checkout, however no one was working at the front desk. They only had a key drop during regular checkout hours. Would not stay at this property again.

The room in my opinion was not maintained to a quality standard. The blankets had a home from a burn it looked like, the walls were scratched and scuffed, sheets looked like the weren't changed, stains on the towels, pillow cases, and bed cover, same hair on both sheets of both beds, daughter woke up with bites, mirrors were in shape condition, any in my daughter's bed, potential blood spots on both sheets and pillow case, so yeah, I felt like I slept in a bed that was already slept in and just remade. We slept in our clothes.

Everything was pretty good. My only complaint is that we had a few ants in the bathroom. I didn't complain about it because they were only in the bathroom. Otherwise, it was a great stay.

Rooms were very outdated but was clean for the most part I was able to check in early so that was a plus but literally only stayed for less damn 24 hours anything longer I would definitely have went to a better hotel rooms smelled old had to use Lysol to kill the smell alittle I would only recommend if your staying for one night only and want a reasonable price hotel
