This hotel in undergoing a major reconstruction on two of the four floors. Noise continues into the evening, at least until after six p.m.. The rooms in use have not been updating yet, and that shows. The floors of both elevators and broken tile. Only one functioning ice machine in the building. Nice staff, but helpless to solve the problems. The hotel should close for the renovations.
Under construction, noisy ,no internet, put me in an unfinished room. Do not stay here. Charged $140 for jackhammering, unfinished room and No internet . Only good thing is location . Felt sorry for workers
This was overall a nice Hampton. Convenient being right off I-10 E. The room we had was recently renovated. It was nice, but still needs finishing touches. The TV did not work and although the front desk was notified she did not know what to do about it. The front desk did try to be helpful and offered to move us, but it was not worth it. Overall, I would recommend it.
There was mold on ceilin of shower and room. The water didn’t get hot in the shower. The phone didn’t work in the room. The outside doors that should have been locked and only accessible with a room key were left open by construction workers for the hotel.
I was fortunate enough to acquire this hotel in a great location accessibility to highway to travel where needed. Staff was caring and hospitable during my three days stay.Thank you so much for your professionalism.
Rooms smell. Not the hotel I thought it would be..from previous experience. Needs a lot of improvements. Ceiling tiles and floor tiles missing in elevator. Sink and tub very slow draining. Not a great place.
Facility is in disrepair; many so-called amenities do not work. Staff has the 'sorry for the inconvenience' attitude. They will do nothing to remedy problems. The hotel is supposed undergoing renovation, but will still likely have same slack staff. Frankly, it is hard to believe that Hilton keeps this place on its roster
Stay at Hampton Inns in various places. This one is very close to many restaurants and right on I 10. They are renovating the top floor and apparently will continue other areas. Elevators floors have some broken tiles. Ice machine on my floor didn't work. Breakfast had hit options like potatoes, biscuits and gravy, outmeal but no eggs. Room clean and all else was OK plus a very good rate in the area. Rated average since it was incomplete. Staff is friendly. Ample lighted parking. Would give them another try later in the year when their renovations are completed.
The first thing we noticed each morning after walking outside was the paper mill smell. I understand it is strong in the winter and in the warm months the city smells like the oil refinery. Traveled on business and commuted downtown. The check-in was a little messed up, but front desk staff very friendly and accommodating. Hotel is within walking distance of decent eating options. There are renovations in-process. I don't know if my room was not renovated yet, but it was disappointing vs. other Hamptons. Not well-lit, even with all lights on. The layout of the desk away from the TV meant I used the bed for work on the laptop. It didn't look like a typical Hampton room layout, so my suspicion is that it used to be a different chain. The bathroom is large, but relatively empty. The bathroom especially was in need of touching up with minor issues like the toilet not well connected to the wall and a slow-draining sink. The managers reception was nice and unique to the southern US Hamptons where I've stayed. They were supposed to have beer available, but each night it was not out. One morning the breakfast was not out - apparently that staff person couldn't make it in. Hotel was full and had many Harvey disaster workers, especially from the Corps of Engineers. We all thought the same thing: this is probably a nice hotel for Beaumont.
The property is being renovated which is needed after hurricane Harvey and nonstop full occupancy. Still a lot of guests related to Harvey (FEMA, construction workers, etc.). Hard to get a room and the renovations will make it even more difficult. Solid value and a great location on I-10. Movie theater and a selection of places to eat are very close, some within walking distance.
