You can tell this hotel has seen better days. It’s not the cleanest hotel. I can’t describe the stains on the wall - large blood type stain? This seems to the norm with Marriott lately. I also don’t know how the ceiling got dirt all over it. It’s odd. The cleaning crew just leaves stains on the walls/doors. It’s in a good location but it’s overpriced for the experience.
I stay in this area almost weekly as a Road Warrior. I stayed in this hotel for months and decided to leave for newer, better maintained locations nearby. I decided to come back to the SpringHill to see if they did any updates or upgrades to the hotel experience. Wrong. Same issues and cleanliness that made me leave. 1. Getting into the elevator. Dirty, beat up and smelly. It looked like Spring Break had taken place on the elevator. 2. A/C was not working in hallway to room. 3. When I got to my room, it smelled. Musty, and chemically overboard to hide whatever was hiding. 4. The TVs at this hotel, SUCK. Small and not much of the shows are in HDTV. (This was a pet peeve of mine at this hotel in the past, and at Marriott as a whole.) 5. Sheets had an old yellow look to them. So, in a nutshell, for the money, there are several other hotels and Marriott properties that are better maintained and better priced.
We hosted our 2017 family reunion at this hotel and had a wonderful time. The rooms were modern, spacious and cozy. The lobby and breakfast area was stylish and free breakfast is always plus! There is plenty of free parking and this location is right across the street from convenient shopping, movies, and restaurants. My only complaint is the indoor pool was super, small, the workout room was a larger space.
My email:Good Day, I recently stayed at your location with a check in on 7/29/17. I was in room 315 and my last name is Ralph. I was COMPLETLEY dissatisfied with my recent stay. I live in Suffolk Virginia and for the last 3 years of visiting Maryland Live, I have always stayed at Springhill for a total of 6 times (with family and or friends). I called in to make reservations for my husband and I for 1 KING bed for 2 nights. I get to the location to be told that "ALL KINGS" were sold out due to overbooking. At that point I cancelled the 2nd night. Get to the room about 10:10 pm drop off our bags and left to catch the shuttle to the Casino. Get back to our room after 3 am and that is when I really got disturbed. Neither my husband or myself used the bathroom or anything upon arrival. The bathroom was disgusting and the beds were POORLY made. I took pictures which are attached and went downstairs to show Carl the NASTY wash cloth hanging over the shower curtain. He advised me that the manager Jeff would be in the next morning at 7 or 7:30 am but I did not go down until checkout but the manager was not there and was provided the business cards. My last visit there in August 2016 was not good but I was there with friends for a birthday celebration so I never mentioned anything because I referred this hotel to her because I had been there a few times prior. The front desk staff were very friendly as always. I had filled out the suggestion card with my complaint but accidently left it in the room when I left yesterday morning (7/30/17).The way social media and the news are doing reviews and private research on hotels, I would hope that HOUSEKEEPING at your establishment improves. I had to get another hotel for my husband and went to stay at The Hotel! Excellent Choice.. Thank You in Advance for Your Reply!
Hotel was nice, room was clean but pool was closed for maintenance. Breakfast was average but not many waffle topping choices (just strawberries). My family frequents SpringHill Suites when traveling and compared to others this breakfast was just average. Hotel is across the street from mall which is great to be away from the Casino traffic.
The hotel is nice and clean. Across the street from the mall which has many places to eat and large movie theater and live casino with free shuttle service 24 hrs which is good. Staff friendly and helpful
Nice staff here, room was clean and served it's purpose. Mall very close with lost of food choices. D.C. Is not too bad a drive from here if you don't mind traffic. Better bet would be to take a train in. Breakout the motel was adequate at best
The room was very clean, everything worked fine. The only issue we had was not there issue....we went down for breakfast and there was a busload of people having breakfast, but a lot of them were just sitting around talking and not eating despite a number of families trying to find a space to sit down for breakfast. One of the attendants in the breakfast area had a hard time communicating and keeping up with the fast pace of things. Other than that, a good stay.
We stayed here for my husband's busines trip. It's close to everything you can think of...the room was clean and a good size. We didn't get a chance to enjoy the pool, Jacuzzi, or gym but we'll come back again.
Customer service was barely there. First we arrived at the airport and called once we got off the plane. We were told to call after we got our bags. We got our bags and called.... and called... and called. I called a total of 10 times before it was answered. Each time it would be picked up and the disconnected. (See screen shot of my phone calls showing "10" calls). So the woman on the phone told us where to go to the shuttle, even though we had been there for 30 minutes waiting for her to pick up. Then we waited another 30 minutes for the shuttle. The driver arrives gets out and opens the back doors but doesn't help load our bags. We put them in. The the long 20 minute ride to the hotel went thru neighborhoods, blowing thru stop signs and taking turns with no signals. Also he had the front windows rolled down freezing us in back. We asked him to roll them up but he was too busy listening to the ballgame between the Yankees and Philly. I could go on about how it too 20 minutes to check in, another employee using the computer in the lobby so we couldn't print up boarding passes for the next day etc... but I won't. Like I won't recommend or stay in the place again.
