Very clean room! Staff was very friendly! We will definitely come back again.

This property is undergoing major renovation. Hotels need to make customers aware of such before making a reservation.

Cleaning crews knocked on doors at 8:30 am. After a 23 hour travel day and checking in at 1am, getting woke up early was not pleasant

Stayed here for 2 nights. Pulled into parking lot the first night and it looked like it wasn’t even open. The entire exterior was under construction. Walked in the lobby & the smell of spray paint was enough to make you sick to your stomach. The room wasn’t very clean at all. In fact, bathroom had lots of grime in corners and a pop can from previous guest was still left on the floor under the table. No fan in the bathroom, which is crazy. Loud obnoxious teens running the hallways throughout the night. Breakfast in the morning was the worst I’ve ever experienced at a holiday inn. Pancake maker was malfunctioning both days. Overall, I’d never stay at this particular location ever again. For slightly more than the price we paid, we could’ve been next door at the Kensington. Disappointed is an understatement. :(

great location across from Briarwood Mall. Lots of free parking, and if you are going to the Art Festival, the Shuttle pickup is right across the street. Staff was GREAT! both behind the desk and in the dining room. Breakfast is the typical buffet fare, but they were good about keeping items replenished. rooms were a bit small, and a bit dated, but bedding was comfortable and noise was low.

The hotel is close to the shopping mall and other restaurants.

My husband and I come to Ann Arbor on long weekend get-aways a couple times each winter. This was our first visit to this hotel as we normally stay at the hotel just adjacent to this property. Our room was clean and VERY comfortable. The day staff was very cordial, efficient, and welcoming. However, we had trouble with excessive noise both evenings of our stay. The first night I contacted the front desk, and was told someone would come to investigate the problem. We don't believe any of the hotel staff addressed the problem, which continued on, then finally rectifying itself. That put a damper on what would have been a very pleasant stay.

Close to the mall and restaurants. Easy access from the highway. Hotel staff was nice. Nice room. Great value for the money.

The room was clean and the bed comfortable but the overall experience wasn't great. I get them impression that they subtly penalize bookings from sites other than the hotels own. They gave me an H/C Assessable room even though I didn't need or ask for it. Those rooms are not overly comfortable or functional if you don't need those options and the hotel wasn't that full so why use that room if they didn't need too. Television didn't work, apparently when they clean housekeeping has a habit of unplugging it according to the front desk. It was fixed quickly enough but still seems like it could be avoided given that it was a known issue. There are enough hotels in this area that are similarly priced I see no need to return to this one. I have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express further west at Zeeb Rd. and it was a great experience, hence my disappointment in this stay.

This was a totally fine visit overall the room was clean, it was a decent value, plenty of free parking, free wifi. However, it was lacking those little things that mean the difference between a hotel stay being pleasant/convenient and really frustrating. For example, they don't have a fitness room. You're welcome to use the facilities of the hotel across the parking lot, but of course this means going outside in the cold and you have to actually check in at the other place's from desk to obtain a room key and everything. Maybe I should have noticed this before I made a reservation? Fair point, but it's not my only example. There was also no safe for valuables, and no soap dish so the whole bathroom counter ends up wet and slippery. The hotel doesn't offer room service, and the complimentary breakfast was of fairly low quality. The food stuff isn't that big of a deal since I'm sure it's all part of the reason this place is so affordable, but they also don't have a mini fridge or microwave for guests to use and no market area, so vending machines are your only option. I also have a big issue with the ice bucket. I know this sounds a little high maintenance, but hear me out: the ice bucket had absolutely no insulation, it was just one layer of plastic. This means that when I filled it with ice (because there was no mini fridge), it melted insanely quickly. The amount of condensation that gathered on the outside of the ice bucket also led to a miniature flood on the bedside table. I feel like I should re-iterate that these are all pretty small complaints. On the whole, this was an affordable stay in a roomy room with clean sheets and a decent pillow. I wouldn't recommend it to a friend without telling them each of the points I've listed here, but if these details don't concern you then go for it, and congratulations on being a better traveler than I am!

Staff was friendly and helpful. Location good near mall and not far from downtown. We wish they had more hotels Downtown but, this makes a good option since they don't. Convenient to have a breakfast in the morning. Love Ann Arbor! Also enjoyed a day in Detroit.

The hotel was fine. The room smelled like chemicals from cleaners. People were loud outside. I thought it was expensive given that it wasn't downtown.

After a long flight and getting in at 11:30 PM the staff was friendly, beds were perfect, and coffee and breakfast the best.

Great location with acceptable accommodations. Not posh, but gets the job done. Would recommend for price point and free breakfast.

The hotel was very clean and quiet, and it's close to the mall! We will stay here again!

Good hotel for business. Close to freeway, easy on and easy off.

Clean room/kind staff/easy access to the main campus and the highway.

Holiday Inn Express was great. Small and clean indoor pool, good breakfast and spacious rooms.

It's your basic hotel. The breakfast they serve is good and the internet access is free and pretty reliable. It's right across the street from the mall which is nice if you need something or are just looking for something to do. I would stay again if I go back to Ann Arbor.

Dear Valued Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at our hotel. I am sorry to hear that you you had trouble with noise and that there was not follow up on such an important issue. The comfort of our guests is very important to us. It is definitely not the kind of experience that we want our guest to have and I apologize if you felt the problem went unaddressed. We are certainly glad that you enjoyed the other aspects of your stay, and hope to welcome you back!!
