We stayed for 2 nights for business. The hotel is old and the bathrooms need attention. There was mold in the shower...yuck! I do need to give a shotout to the staff and the GM! They were all very nice. We travel with our pet so we are limited as far as hotel choices go. We booked through hotels.com, on the website the pet fee says $35 for the first night and then $5/night. However, the fee is $50, then $10/night. We go to Albany every month for business and we will return to this hotel...just because of the staff and the GM.
We stayed at the Quality Inn at Albany Mall in Albany GA. When we pulled up that night outside in the parking lot there were roaches (not water bugs) everywhere. Then we were awaken to them in the room. Not happy at all!
Nice enough room, helpfull front desk Tina was great. Location is in a safer part of town, but $20.00 too muvh for the area. Within walking distance to Olive Garden. Breakfast was adiquat with the usual fare, better selection than most.
I recently made a trip to Albany for business. The hotel I had stayed at during the two prior visits was booked so I decided to stay at the Quality Inn. I have stayed at other locations with this chain and had been satisfied with my experience, Upon arrival the clerk told me I had been booked in a smoking room while my reservation and confirmation showed a non smoking room. The hotel was shuffling people around due to not all rooms having a microwave and fridge. I was put into one with out the two. The guest before me was given my room when he complained about not having the amenities. I literally had to wait while he moved his luggage and brought the key back. I was given the key and went to the room. The room was not to my standards for the rate being charged. The furnishings were worn and bedspread had picks in the fabric. The bathroom was deplorable. The shower was covered with mildew, I went to the desk and asked for another room. I was shown a smoking room but the shower was in the same condition. As I have allergies I kept the first room and went to the store and purchased tilex. The desk clerk said the owner was trying to fix the mildew problem. I cleaned the shower twice that night and again the next morning before I could use it. I did inform the desk about my dissatisfaction when checking out and a small adjustment was given. I would not stay there again or recommend it.
Early in my stay I requested and ironing board cover (mine was missing). This was never provided. The same day coffee was not restocked in the room. Although trash cans were emptied, the trash can liners were left on the bathroom sink and not put in the cans. I was moved to another room after finding bed bugs in my room. They did a good job of cleaning some clothing left out in the room and did move my things out. However, a shirt went missing in the move. In my new room coffee was not left 2 days in a row and towels were not replaced one of the days. One bright spot was the desk staff, who were responsive, along with a well run breakfast area. The rooms in general were OK. However, hotel management never contacted me regarding my reported issues....inexcusable. (I have traveled extensively for several decades and encountered bed bugs one other time. That hotel went out of their way to check on me. I stayed in that hotel again, I would not return to this hotel due to poor service.)
We had been out of the country, planning to stay with friends for a few days. The devastating storms changed all that, plus caused us to extend our stay for a week. My son worked with Tia to get us a room in an area crowdwd with disaster relief workers. She was a doll. Gloria, the breakfast attendant was an absolute gem. I think we were the only guests who had lost a dear friend, but we did chat with many who had damage. The staff bent over backwards for us.
Hats off to Tia, the desk clerk. She really helped me out with making this reservation and getting this room on what was a devatating weekend for Albany. As for customer service, she went above and beyond our expectations. She is a credit to the hotel and their management staff. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Shower worked fine. What else need be said? I have no complaints whatsoever.
Our room's bathroom light didn't work correctly and the towels were not properly stocked. Quite a bit of mold in the shower. The staff, however, was helpful to lower my rate due to having the problem light. Breakfast is what you would expect from chain hotels, but sufficient.
we (party of 3 rooms) felt fortunate to find a vacancy that would welcome our dogs!! this location is across from the mall & nearby restaurants.. it was fun to watch all the well behaved dogs on our walks & there were many!! unfortunately, not everyone felt the need to clean up their mess.. SHAME! most of the people & dogs left sat, we stayed over..found that our homes were safe..we were trying to watch sports when all of a sudden 4 kids starting running around on the 2nd floor, after a few runs & it was irritating to hear & feel, they stopped, maybe a parent put a stop to it!! thank you to all the staff & especially George for their hospitality...
During a business trip on 9/13/2016; I was booked into room 234. Upon arrival they first attempted to put me in a room on the first floor but I dislike hearing people walk over my head so I asked for a room on the top floor; this was the worst mistake of my trip. Mrs. Bower asked George the General manager if room 234 was ready to be lease and looked me in my eyes and stated that the room had some construction but they would check to see it was clean and ready for guest. About 3:00 am on the morning of September 14, 2016, I waken from my sleep because I felt a sting and something crawling on my arm. I got out the bed and went to the bathroom to find a black bug on my arm crawling towards my shoulder. I immediately tried to kill it but I could not. Then I immediately thought could this be a bed bug and went back into the room and pulled back the top spread and saw a few round black bug crawling towards the foot of the bed. I pulled back the sheet where I had been sleeping and saw several other bugs crawling. I immediately called the front desk and got no answer; so I got my clothes on and got my bags and went down to the front desk and complained and Mrs. Callo offered me a refund and stated that the room was blocked and should not have been occupied. This was the worst experience I have had in any state side hotel.
