So the staff at check in and check out were super nice and professional. The room was clean and we loved the wall paper and decor of the room. Location was great for bus, tram, and walking around! The meh was that two days of housekeeping and neither day were the cups replaced with clean cups and they didn’t empty the ice bucket of the melted ice and old bag. Also, the way they set the room up for you to sit in the couch was uncomfortable with where the tv was. Basically you had to sit on the couch sideways. And the ac and pipes after washing hands or whatever was super loud and would last forever! So at night it woke us up with how loud it was whistling.

I have stayed here consistently 2-3 times a year for a few years now. I like the location, as well as the fun decor. It used to be a Kimpton property, bought out by Sonesta I believe. While the staff are also consistently friendly, the experience, amenities, cleanliness of rooms, food options, etc.are different each visit...while makes setting an expectation/hope for each stay a little unsettling (i.e., the customer experience for me is never the same...never totally bad...but more consistency would be nice).

A total mess. We had a room with a clogged tub and black mold coming out of the drain. Moved to another room that had not been cleaned as there were smudges all over the lower half of the mirrors from a child. Spent 2 hours in limbo moving from one room to the next room. Finally received a clean room which was a “comped upgrade” (it was the exact same as the one booked) but what was most outrageous is that we were given a room that management opened with us at the door and it was already occupied. Management completely violated their privacy by barging in on those guests and made us feel super uncomfortable. She did not apologize to them or us about that incident. It was a total mess.

A little bleak
A little bleak. Doesnt seem to have recovered from its post-COVID existence. Pleasant -- but the lack of a restaurant and bar a little underwhelming for a major downtown hotel. Housekeeping was inconsistent. Price was terrific perhaps because of the lack of amenities
