Great property clean and nice
Inexpensive and comfortable, and in a great neighborhood. The staff were nice and gave us a bath-tub room when we asked. Parking was included, which in Portland counts for a lot. My complaints are minor. The bathroom doors, which are difficult to use, and don't close all the way so are not at all sound-blocking. And the building constantly rattles, water pipes maybe, which can be troublesome for a light sleeper. I'd stay here again. The location and price are quite right.
We stay here every time we come to Portland. It’s conveniently located for us. This time checking in took forever with no explanation. I had the reservation on my phone, but they didn’t look at it. Just lots of whispering between the two employees. I don’t know what the problem was, but suspect the reservation was not in the system. We eventually did get a room, but it took a long time. I believe it’s under new management.
I really appreciate my experience here at Eastside….. I’ve worked customer service for years and they were very accommodating and understanding… I love it!

The owners/staff? were so helpful and friendly. Older hotel, but clean and felt safe. Loved the neighborhood. Only teeny tiny issue was no coffee in the room. Had to go to the office. I lived :)
Free parking and close to where I needed to go
The elevator was out of order. That was my only complaint. Front desk was very polite and helpful.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was very small and basic, but adequate for the price. We had a nice walk across the bridge and back.

Owner was nice, but never again. The area is perfect, nice n close to the airport n city. But, The smell when we first entered smelled like piss of death which subsided throughout the 2 nights but you'd get the occasional whiff, the rest of the time it was just an old dirty motel smell. It felt like we were in the shining tbh, there was a crazy lady screaming and banging the walls randomly. The curtains were dirty& we did not wanna investigate what was on it. The comforter was super crusty so we took it off and slept on top of a suede type blanket, luckily we brought our own blankets too. Most of the towels had some kind of stain. The shower floor had a bunch of tape as if holding the tile together lol and the toilet would flush, eventually, and spin water for most of the time. The fridge was also Loud but it worked like white noise for me. Luckily, we were so exhausted and only conscious for a very small amount of time.
The manager, Javir was great and welcoming host, and taught me to say his name properly. We talked about Tanzania.
The staff was very accommodating to our needs and made our stay comfortable and smooth. Very sweet and professional. Area has great spots to eat and close to downtown. And the rates are great!
