In addition to being convenient to Zocalo where all hop-on buses start out each day as well as a number museums are located, we liked the neighborhood and the number of dining (two great restaurants in the hotel) and shopping options including several department stores and five drug stores. The service was exceptional including front desk, breakfast staff and housekeeping team. Very special mention to Edgar, the concierge, who assisted us a number of times including helping us address a medical issue. He made our trip experience exceptional. The actual building is historic. The rooms are generous and comfortable. We also thought the beds were great. The clients were a mix of tourists and business types. The breakfast was a combination of western and local favorites. Overall a memorable stay. We will return.
We chose the hotel for an 11 night vacation stay. We made our decision based on reviews and overall customer rating. The location is in the Historic Quarter and three blocks from the Zocalo. We used Turitours Hop On Hop Bus with four routes covering many attractions and historic sites. Tours offering hotel pickup were very familiar with the hotel as well. The breakfast is very good and offers a mix of American and Mexican breakfast options. We have been particularly impressed with the positive energy of the staff at all levels. We have seldom experienced better - comparable to Japan. We will certainly stay here again.
The architecture was beautiful. The room smelled suffocated. AC semmed to not be working.

Our stay was amazing!!! Loved how close it was to everything, clean and such a beautiful building. Overall we loved the service. Everyone was so kind, helpful and attentive. We will definitely be back.
Good location in historic district, quiet at night, safe in the day. Maybe also safe at night, but I didn’t go out in night. Walkable to main attractions, a lot of good food in walking distance. The staff very nice. Housekeeping staff even coil my charging cord. I also like they provide breakfast from 6-10. When joined a tour, can set out after breakfast. It’s a very satisfying choice at its price. Recommended!
Excellent property and very nice staff
I liked the unique structure of the property. It was comfortable and very nice. The staff was great and informative. Everything we needed was within walking distance!! I didn't like that it was too noisy in the morning when breakfast buffet was being done. I was on the 2nd floor and could hear all the sounds of dishes and pots being cleaned. Overall I was very pleased, if you don't mind a little noise in the morning, I would highly reccomend the Hamptons.
The hotel in general needs to be updated. The rooms smelled musky and the carpets were dirty and the furniture was old and damage. We arrived around 11:00 pm and found the door locked and no one at the front desk. We had to ring the door bell/intercom multiple times before the doors were opened for us. For those with mold allergies, stay away from this place.
