The staff was fantastic, the location was amazing, and the closeness to all the transit options was fantastic. However, the first room I stayed in had a malfunction with the Air Conditioning and water dripped all night. They tried to fix it, but it was clearly a pre-existing issue so instead they moved us very quickly... to a room where the AC did not work at all. Again they tried to fix it quickly, but the noise and wild swinging of the compressor/heat exchanger trying to adjust was obnoxious. My parents stayed in a separate room and also had many issues with heating/cooling and their televisions. Again they tried to fix it, but reactive solutions to problems when your guests are there are just silly and it's clear to me that whoever holds the purse strings here is hamstringing their staff.
Final words... I really cannot fault the staff for these issues, they did all they could, but this particular property is clearly pinched by poor decisions from management. It's a shame, but I would never stay at a Locke property again based on this location's many issues. I will stay in a hostel next time for 1/3 the price; at least then I can justify the discomfort.
To the managers; do better and stop focusing on your lousy bonuses and cutting costs... you already make enough.
