My room smelled horrible. Air conditioner didn’t work for first couple days. No electric in bath. Very old property that needs attention. Not worth the price, you get what you pay for is not accurate in this case. Worse. Balcony appears to never have been cleaned. If hadn’t paid for full week would have left. Not recommend. Spend your money somewhere else.

The property is located at a very convenient place with walking distance to beach, shops and restaurants. Staff was very helpful and provided excellent customer service. This was our second time stay at this place in April 2023 and March 2024. If we travel to Honolulu we will again stay at Waikiki sunset.

This property is extremely dated. 1. The worst part about this property was the elevators. Lines reached all the way to the entrance of the hotel. (Got stuck in the elevator twice.) 2. The room was very dated. From the televisions, bathrooms, to the decor. Felt like we were staying in my Grandparents condo from the 80's. 3. Parking was a nightmare due to construction with no signs anywhere to go. 4. Resort fee is kind of a joke. Definitely not a resort. A pool with towels, DVD rentals, and some museum. 5. Very sketchy at night. While security sat at there desk area in the lobby my wife and I were constantly herassed by homeless people right outside of the hotel. 6. We were informed prior to our trip there would be construction. Oh man is there. Again, a parking nightmare. No water or AC our last night. They should really offer a re-do for anyone that wasted their hard earned money during the time of our stay once this property is a comparison to surrounding hotels and condos. Honestly, The list goes on and on. I will say the staff was super friendly and helpful! Not their fault this properly is falling apart.

Hotel communication was great so that made everything a bit easier. Room was clean and nice, a bit outdated furniture but comfortable, bed was comfy, fully stocked kitchen. No complaints.
