The property is at the harbor. I was looking for a hotel by the beach. Depending on the traffic, I had to drive 15 - 20 minutes to the beach. There are a few restaurant options at the hotel. Otherwise, you have to drive to get to other places. I chose an ocean-view room... Sunset, sunrise, and the sound of the water through the night was amazing.

Smelled of sewage
We were put in the Captiva tower and it smelled Of sewage very bad. They said it was because of the red tide and rotting vegetation but we could not stay there . The staff tried very hard but there was nothing they could do . We left after one night

We did not like the fact that we we put into another building away from the main building and its amenities. We traveled with friends they were in the main building. We needed to take a shuttle to get to the main building. Did not care for the inconvenience.

Loved the spa, with sauna, steam room and whirlpool. I would have liked to have taken advantage of spa services, tennis and pickle ball but not enough time. Did not like to pay for parking at a large resort like this and parking is not cheap.
