when we got there we was put in room windsor 0172 this room was clean but very cold and you could smell dampness straight away and the wall heater did only get warm. we then went to reception very nice staff, As soon as we told them it felt like they was expecting us to complain about the room as they didn't even question it they straight away give us another room which was 442 which again was clean but was nice and warm as soon as you walked in there, The staff seemed nice. the hotel is very dated but you do get what you pay for, If we was given the second room straight away then then we would have give top rating for what we paid, , we try to be fair on review as this is what people rely on when booking a room. note for Hotel please sort out room windsor 0172 as this is not fit for propose at this time of year, even the skirting broads are all rotten, I wont put pictures on here as may be a one of room, Thank you Chris and Anita

Check in was atrocious. Only two staff members on for two large booking parties. We waited 40 minutes. The room was more suitable for a single bed. The bathroom wasn't clean, I have photo's, the bathroom window had no frosting or curtain on it, people across the street could see in especially when the light was on so we left it off. Three other people tried to get into the room whilst we were trying to sleep which was impossible due to how uncomfortable the bed was. There was no remote control for the TV so we didn't use that. The duvet cover was inside out. The bathroom door didn't close properly as it was damaged. The curtain in the room wouldn't open properly once it had been closed. There was no hot water in the bathroom, my husband had to shower in cold water, I didn't use it but boiled the kettle for a wash instead. Most of the onsite vending machines were out of order. The mini break was booked for my husbands birthday. I'm afraid to say that we will not be returning to Norbreck Castle. Having been twice before he specifically requested it. I'm sorely disappointed with our stay this time.
