I stayed here for work, will not be returning. I was told the restaurant would be closed for lack of occupancy...ok fine. I was then told that I couldn't have a late check out two days later. How is it that there are so few people staying there that you can't open the restaurant but also that there's no way for me to have a late check out? I can see why nobody is staying at the hotel. Good luck.

I LOVED the customer service! I was their for 4 days/3 nights & EVERY single person on your staff during that time, provide 5 star service! From the valet, to the front desk, to the bar staff, to the restaurant staff, all class acts! And, your gym, was PHENOMENAL! All the essential equipment need to stay in shape, & they were clean & working. Now, for the reasons I didn't give it a perfect rating: Despite getting a non-smoking room, there was still the lingering smell of smoke. while it wasn't enough to ruin my visit, it was still persistent enough to make me aware of it. Lastly, my shower only had one glass partition to keep the water from hitting the floor. It seemed to me it was on purpose & not an error, or unsolved problem. I didn't understand that design, & I didn't enjoy having to use towels (besides the one they provide as a mat of sorts) to keep me from slipping & falling. But, otherwise, it was an excellent experience & very worth the value!

Outdated Room Beside Conference Rooms
The hotel was nice, but we were put in a room in a corner right beside all the conference rooms. There were 3 rooms in one small area and it was uncomfortable being in a location beside everyone there for work meetings. The room was very outdated too and did not look like the rooms in all the pictures we reviewed before booking. It’s was like a forgotten corner of the hotel. The service was great and even though the room was outdated, it was still clean.

Fabulous Stay
We had a fabulous stay at Downright Austin! The hotel was beautiful and the staff were so friendly and helpful. They mentioned it was newly renovated and the vibe was perfect. The only area of improvement would be the bar, but I think they are still renovating that portion of the hotel with the new restaurant and swim club. Thank you for a great stay!

Clean hotel. Wasn’t aware that basically everything was under renovation. The restaurant and the bar are under renovation so there’s a small coffee area to order select items - wasn’t very good. The pool also didn’t have water in it: so was confused considering it’s May and not in usable condition. Front desk is great, rooms are cute. No issues there. Just a lot of money for a stay for things to not be working/open and didn’t know at booking.
