Very basic, comfortable, and clean
This hotel is far cheaper than anything else downtown for a reason, and that’s because it is entirely no frills. The common areas and reception are run down looking and are alarming to see when you first arrive, but the rooms are exceptionally clean and comfortable. Mattress was excellent, pillows were fluffy, blankets and sheets felt nice, bathroom was spotless, and the mini split AC/heater was a fantastic upgrade from the nasty window units you get in most budget hotels. The free breakfast included a waffle maker, bagels, frozen breakfast biscuit sandwiches, yogurt, etc. The room has a big fridge in it that kept things ice cold and was large enough for normal items, not just a tiny bar fridge. Parking was a bit of a fiasco since we arrived on Saturday evening and the main lot was full, but they go to great lengths to make sure you know where you can and can’t park. There is no daily housekeeping service but maybe this is the norm nowadays. After a great night’s sleep, everything downtown was an easy walk away—I’m talking restaurants, theaters, shopping, everything. You can’t beat the location, price, comfort, and value, as long as you don’t care that there’s absolutely nothing fancy aside from your mattress and HVAC and that the common areas make it look like it’s much more run down than it actually is. Very happy we chose this hotel, and the owner was even at breakfast thanking us for our stay!
